"Good morning! Hyungie, wake up!" Tae was shaking Jiho's shoulder a little, feeling a whole lot better with most of the meds out of his system and not in too much pain. He felt ready to rock'n'roll, not that he knew what that meant. Still, the general sentiment was clear, this little boy was ready to party.
Minjun was the one who woke up first though, from the mattress he had put down on the ground. "Hey, TaeTae." They had met properly before when he'd fed him. Now Tae was already beaming at him. "Be quiet, yeah? Your brother was really tired, he was worried about you. Didn't sleep much."
Too late. Jiho sat up, half dead and a bit out of it but he was ready to hug Tae, mumbling something sleepily. "Shh, brat." He was just too worried to sleep all night, watching Tae breath so carefully until he nodded off on the bed with him. It was cramped, uncomfortable and Jiho's back hurt... still kinda worth it. Just to be close. At least Tae seemed okay today, that pretty much eased him enough.
Jiho sat up, yawned and rubbed at his eyes. He just wanted to sleep forever. "What time is it?"
They were discussing business. Or, more accurately, two business owners were - one from the Min Clan side of things and one from the Dark Dragon side. And the two bosses were involved in hearing them out cause this got messy. Apparently his guy burned down the Min clan guy's home and killed his wife and almost killed his son so it was a big issue. His guy claimed he was provoked and he was a friend of Cheon's so Kangwoo showed.
He didn't seem interested as he listened to his man plead his case, defending his murder, looking at Kangwoo for back up. He looked up at Yoongi for a few moments and then cleared his throat.
"How old is your brother?" He was curious. And not really interested in what this dumbass did or why he should stand up for him. Cheon had such idiot friends. "... Jungkook, right?"
"...yes." Yoongi wondered why Kangwoo was talking about his brother. A threat? Likely to turn into one. He tensed, but it was barely noticeable. "He is four."
What was happening here? He looked over to the man who had suffered such a tragic loss and lifted his hand, letting him know that the issue would still be dealt with. He had promised as much already. But this was an unusual development. "Why do you ask?"
"Hey. You." Cheon had spotted the Thai boy on the hallway and grabbed his wrist, talking slowly. He assumed that he wouldn't know much Korean. "Where's Kangwoo-nim? The boss."
So much to finding his own dates, huh? Cheon looked the boy over. Not a bad looking kid, was he one of his? Damn it, he had too many to keep track these days. Nice mouth though. Cheon reached up to hold his chin and turn his head a little.
"Ow, do you mind?" Ten slapped him away and tried to yank his wrist free but he had a hell of a grip. He pulled and tried to make it clear that he wasn't impressed. "Kangwoo?" The nim thing was lost on him half the time, he could barely keep on top of who was what and how to use it. He had a headache from it! "He's busy. Who are you? I can get Minjun."
He didn't quite know what to say to him, his korean wasn't amazing but he could speak rather well, given everything. He just wondered why this guy was all up in his space. He wasn't used to it. "Get off, please."
the case with the fire is dealt with, the boy is out of hospital and with his father and the father's mistress, they got my blessing to get married, she seems to have a good head on her shoulders and she is good with the boy, so there is that at least
am I taking care of food tonight or are you getting stuff from Jin?
and, speaking of Jin... some really weird stuff with Kangwoo happened
"Is this seat taken?" Hobi sat down already, smiling brightly at Ten. "You are new around here, huh?"
Hobi was the owner of this place. He had meant to find a subtle way to track down Ten and run into him. He hadn't expected Ten to literally come to him. That was... Unexpected. Perhaps a good thing. He couldn't be sure just yet.
He was going to wait and see. "Are you here just to watch or do you want to have some fun?"
"Only watching, I'm afraid. I'm staying somewhere with kids so this is how I get my porn fix. Besides, I like it more ... interactive when I watch." Ten laughed as he watched some poor twink get spanked, his dick hard just imagining himself there and Minjun being the top. He did have his fun, even if he couldn't join in any more. "I'm taken, I have a boyfriend."
Minjun was enough. His soft, sweet boy. He adored him. He turned and smiled at the insanely handsome dude, part of him wishing he wasn't so single but hey, he was loyal.
"I'm new. I'm from the US but I'm Thai." Wait, did all Koreans get that he wasn't a whore because of that or was that just the weird Dragons. Either way, he clarified. "I'm not a hooker."
"Hey, hyung." Minjun came in, carrying a load of paperwork he had gone through. He put it down on the desk, then sat down in the chair. "If you have time, I have a few questions." This could go wrong so easily, but Minjun was hoping that he had a good enough handle on Kangwoo and his emotional state by now.
"Ask." Kangwoo didn't look up from what he was doing except to move the paperwork aside. He was focused on filling in some financial forms and he sensed he wasn't going to get much of them done down so he slowed down his progress and looked up, giving Minjun a grown. Urgh. He was sitting. That meant a long talk.
"Is this about me hitting Ten with the door because that wasn't intentional. It was 5am and he was wandering around the house like a zombie... and I thought he was one." So he opened the door into him.
Minjun knocked on the door in the special way, just so Ten could be sure it was him and not some creep - something they had agreed on post Cheon. Then he walked in, closed the door behind himself, walked up to the bed, fell face forward on it and groaned. Loudly.
Ten lay on top of him and sighed, kissing the top of his head a lot first and then rolling off him to curl up against his side. "My poor baby. He suffers so much. What now?" He didn't want to ask too much of Minjun but he knew they had to act. They had to do something. And maybe if they had a way of uniting against Cheon, they could get rid of him.
Namjoon looked up at the kitchen ceiling from where he was sitting, watching Jin clean up and cook, unable to offer help because... well, he was banned from helping so mostly he had to sit there, not spill his juice and stay out of the way. And he was doing pretty well at that, actually.
"So... You saw Kangwoo yesterday?" One assumes, if his brothers came over.
"Only for a minute." Jin pushed a chair over and climbed up so he could reach the ceiling. Those kids, they really were a handful. But he wasn't complaining. "Mostly I was focused on the kids. They looked a lot healthier than I fear they would though. And both very eager to assure me how much Kangwoo had changed, so could I please come back? Cute."
Yoongi had only just gotten home. It was late, almost three am, but he still stole into his brother's room and stretched out next to him for a little while, holding him and smiling when Jungkook stirred a little, soothing him back to sleep.
He had seen light from their bedroom, so Namjoon wasn't sleeping. Again. Yoongi felt apprehensive about it. He didn't know what was bothering Namjoon, but he knew it was persistent and that was hanging over him like a cloud of dread.
Sometimes he thought back to the time when he had offered it to Namjoon. To get away from all this. Live his life out somewhere else. And he remembered the dark times he had had before he knew for sure that Namjoon wouldn't leave. Torturing himself with images of Namjoon happily on dates with someone else. Namjoon smiling because he wasn't with him. Namjoon living the life he deserved that Yoongi couldn't give him.
And all those thoughts, they hadn't left. So he knew that Namjoon wasn't happy lately and he felt his heart hurt from it, he was terrified, but he couldn't let that show. It'd be selfish. Part of him wished he could fall asleep next to Jungkook, but instead he finally got up, walked over to their bedroom, closing the door behind him.
"Hey. Thought you'd be asleep by now... Did I wake you?"
"Nah, I was working... we have some weird budget issues so I'm just trying to comb them over. Did you know that we offer protection to a dog grooming store? How weird is that? Who is going after dog groomers?" Namjoon mumbled as he sat there, arranging papers and using a scrap of paper to do some quick math. He had put Kookie down for sleep, eaten a snack and then sleep didn't come again so he decided to be productive.
He looked back at Yoongi and smiled a little, sheepish and aware that it was probably too late to do budgets but he hated to feel useless.
"I can work by lamp if you want to sleep, it's cool. I won't be long anyway." He didn't want to keep Yoongi up, he knew he had a lot going on and the last thing he needed was Namjoon getting under his feet.
"Play nice with Minjun-ah, he wants to play with us tonight." Kangwoo warned the guys, who had been mocking and teasing Minjun a lot since they got here and yeah, it was all good fun but he was here to learn. And he was the second in line... kinda. Respect was needed. Kangwoo set more chips on the table, studying his hand and then looking at Cheon. "Minjun is interested in your toys. Asking about our whore trade and everything."
"... Is he the one dating a whore?" Sangwoo asked not so subtly, leaning into Soohyun.
"No, not everyone from Thailand is a whore." Kangwoo knew that now. He was going to act like he always did. "His boyfriend isn't a whore."
"Yeah. He is not a whore, he's a student." And also a rich heir, but there was no need to share that. These people were unlikely to define Ten's worth by anything other than his own position no matter what.
"You better be careful, Sangwoo," Cheon teased, "The boy gets all huffy when you insult the boyfriend. It's cute."
