"Hey, appa." Minjun's greeting was relatively casual and he could see his father's eyes narrow, so he bowed deeper than he normally would have for anyone and then walked over, for now ignoring the guy his father was talking to. Cheap suit and not even sitting down, clearly not someone high up in the ranks. "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes, but I can't remember asking you to barge in. No manners." The man was rolling his eyes, but he also smiled a little, gesturing to the chair next to him. "Sit down, Minjun. What are you wearing? It's embarrassing, this boy here just brings me my tea and he's more put together than you."

Minjun let himself fall into the chair, shrugging his shoulders, his shirt almost falling off one shoulder. "It's brand stuff, appa. Young people these days, am I right?" He laughed at himself and finally looked at the guy his father was praising. He was well put together, admittedly. "I suck at making tea too, just saying. He's vastly more qualified."

"He's good at tea. But he tells me he has other talents too. Tell me again, Gyungho-ssi. What do you think you are good at?"

"Mostly the tea." Gyungho knew that the Kim family leader didn't like showiness, he wasn't one of those guys. He liked humbled, hard working, people who proved themselves. And that was what he was trying to do. He didn't try to win him over with card tricks or big talk, he just started to get him a tea every day. And then he started to make the tea himself and also bring a newspaper. Now, here they were, actually talking.

It was interesting, people were fascinating. He looked at Minjun, already taking notes about all the things he could pick up on. Clearly he was not just a clone of his father.

"I'm pretty good at cards though." Gyungho shrugged and then kept his head low, out of politeness. "I've been playing cards since I was five. My step-dad said even then, I was a natural tazza. I don't know if it's true but I did win a lot of lunch money."

"A tazza, huh? I'm a bit of a gambling man myself." Mr Kim smiled, enjoying the light conversation. It was good to have a change of pace from dealing with more important business. "What about you, Minjun?"

"Hm? Oh, I don't gamble. I only ever do things I'm completely sure of." Given Minjun's all or nothing approach to life, not gambling was maybe for the best. Especially given the power and money he could wield. "I like watching it though, card games. It's sexy."

He leaned back, looking Gyungho over. "You should have him man a table, appa. Women are going to focus more on his looks than their losses."

"You think so?" Mr Kim laughed, then looked at Gyungho. "Are you popular with the ladies? I can see that. Tall and manly. But then, you never know, Minjun has a lot of lady friends too and he doesn't look it."

"I'm rich, I don't need height or charm." Minjun winked, obviously not feeling chastised. "Show me a card trick, I wanna see."

"I do get a lot of women excited to see me coming when I serve drinks at the tables. It's flattering, I guess. Kinda new to me too, getting a suit really changed my life." With a playful smile, he shrugged his shoulders and then looked over at Minjun, noticing that he was very much the opposite of his father. Not cautious, not humble and definitely looking for more showmanship.

Balancing both was tricky so he considered what his best move was.

He pulled out his deck and shuffled it idly in his hands. "I'm not a magician, just a gambler. All my tricks happen during a game. I can make any card disappear and reappear as I need it to. Like this." He showed Minjun a hand of four cards he drew, closed them up and when he fans them back out, they'd all magically changed in a blink of an eye.

Slight of hand and quick timing was so crucial for this. "I'm more than a pretty face and someone who makes good tea, I gamble well. Maybe better than I make tea. Maybe."

"Hey." Minjun waved to Gyungho when he came in, gesturing at him to come closer. He was sitting on the sofa, but there was another sofa facing his, so he pointed at it. "You can sit down. Nuts?"

He leaned forward, holding up a bowl of, yes, nuts. "These are Brazil nuts, they are spiced with... No idea what. Tastes weird, can't decide if I like it. You should try."

Leaning back again, he gestured to a woman standing off to the side. "You wanna drink something, Gyungho-ssi?"

"Not really a big nut person so thanks but no thanks." He bowed to Minjun and then took a seat, looking at the woman and smiling to her, she blushed and looked down. Aww. Cute. "I'll have a beer. Nothing too fancy, I'm broke. Thanks."

He was still paying towards the gang so he didn't get a wage yet. He was working for loyalty... which seemed cheap but he was assured in a weeks time, he'd get proper payment.

Look at Minjun, he hoped that everything was okay. It seemed okay. "How can I help, boss?"

"Drink is on me, so get him a nice beer, yeah? Fancy glass." Minjun checked the time and rolled his eyes. "And banana milk, I guess."

Shame, that. The woman left and Minjun looked at Gyungho, making a face. "Sangwoo gets on my case when I start drinking too early. Or when I get up too late, which kinda seems like it ought to cancel each other out."

Damn Sangwoo and his reasonable points. Whatever. "Anyway, yeah. Just wanted to ask how you are getting along with the job."

This match was fucking rigged and he knew after the first five punches that this fucker had weighted gloves. He probably dipped his wraps in clay or something but he was punching with the force of a brick wall to the face and any lesser man would have been flat on their ass. Not Sangwoo.

He was two rounds in, taking a brief pause and knowing he just had one more round and he could win this thing. His one eye was swelling and he could taste blood but what else was new? He win with that.

But if he lost any fucking teeth though, he was gonna be pissed.

Looking out of the ring, he caught Minjun's eye and pointed at his own gloves then at the cheating fucker, making it very clear that something was wrong. He shook his head, spat out blood and prepared for his next round, hoping Minjun was already scouting who sent the fucker after him. This was an insult to their family, it couldn't be left alone.

Minjun had never particularly cared to see Sangwoo get hurt, but he knew it was part of the business, it was how it worked. He could live with it, especially since Sangwoo hardly seemed to mind. But this was different. He was already up on his feet even before Sangwoo looked at him and once the gestures sealed his suspicion, he pushed past Namjoon and ran up to the ring, leaving the bodyguards in a panic. Whatever.

He hauled himself up so he could be level with Sangwoo, even if he stayed outside the ring. "Do you want out? I don't mind."

He had to mind, of course, this was business, there was a lot of money and honour on the line, but he'd not risk his friend's well-being for that. He could deal with the consequences, if need be. It was hard to not glare over where the Dark Dragons were sitting. Cheating bastards.

"Quitting is wussy, I don't want to lose. Even a technical withdraw cause of cheating is a lose." And he wasn't into that. He blinked slowly and wiped some blood off his face. "He's got like... cement or clay on his bandages, the lowest cheats pull that shit. He'd aiming for the face on purpose. If he keeps hitting me there, it's gonna fuck up my eyes permanently."

And that was the real fear. He had to focus on protecting his face and that left his ribs and stomach open for the hits.

Playfully, he smirked at Minjun, blood in his teeth but whatever. "I'm still gonna kick his ass but this is a great disrespect. They're gonna pay for this shit."

"Relax, Kang-ah, it's just us here." Which, Yoongi realised, might be part of the problem, given the subject at hand, but whatever. He smiled a winning smile and then explained. "Hobi will come in and then some of his employees, they have experiences with the Dark Dragons. I told you, Hobi often gives them an out, so quite a few have been hired from them."

He tried to prepare his brother, but it wasn't so easy. Luckily he was interrupted when the waiter came in and he schooled his face, leaning back with a neutral expression and just glancing at the young man who'd walked in. Rainbow hair? Interesting.

"Can I bring you something, sir?" Sian had bowed to them both, a little deeper to Min Yoongi, but now he was smiling at Kangwoo. Yoongi was already holding a drink.

"This is very demeaning and stupid. I can't believe you got guest speakers for this talk, what is wrong with you?" He wished he'd just stayed on his bike and now he was getting a lecture from his bartender and his brother about... what he assumed was sex? Weirdly. And the Dark Dragons.

Who he didn't think were that bad. They did dodgy stuff, sure, but what gangster didn't? If he started feeling bad for people, he'd be shit at his job.

Looking up at rainbow hair, he shrugged and looked down at the table with disinterest. "Scotch, please. Neat, I don't like ice cubes." They hurt his teeth.

"No ice cubes. Right away, sir." Sian bowed again and left the room and Yoongi watched him leave before turning his focus to Kangwoo.

"No one wants to lecture you, it's just information. It's the same thing that I've had to be informed on." Even if, in all honesty, in a different format. Kangwoo wasn't like him, Yoongi knew that. For better or worse. "You should eat something too. I know you, you probably didn't eat enough yet and now you drink scotch? You'll get drunk."

So, yes, he was the big brother.

Minjun sauntered over to the table finally, having decided he had pretended to have better things to do for long enough. He pulled out a chair and sat down opposite of Gyungho, since he was between customers anyway, watching him for a moment. "Your hands move so fast. You must have trained so much."

Clearly worthy of admiration. "Important to be good with your hands in this job." And in so many other things.

"I had to learn to be fast, I've been gambling since I was four. My eomma, God bless her, she never gave me any pocket money cause she said I should earn it. And she was right." Gyungho smirked playfully and then waggled his eyebrows at Minjun. "I used my winnings to buy candy. Too much candy. I got a lot of candy."

Because he was winning a lot of money. "I got preeeeetty fat." He blew his cheeks out playfully before laughing. "Gotta be fast if you wanna support your candy addiction."

"Bet you looked good like that. I like that, cute bear." Minjun smirked back at him, amused and shaking his head. "I'm a spoiled brat. It's my brand, I'm owning it."

And, yeah, he knew that he really was, at least in a lot or respects. He had certainly never wanted for much of anything, other than when he got himself into trouble. His emotions, as Sangwoo liked to point out. Whatever. "You still like candy? Better than most addictions, I'll say that."
