"Would be fun too." He petted Hobi happily as he watched Star Wars ... kinda. It was hard to watch with Kangwoo wiggling excitedly in front of the TV but he could see most of it. "We could defeat Cheon and then maybe someone good will fill the void. A Dark Dragon leader we like - that'd be fascinating." He did wonder how loyalties would change then. He knew some people only stayed with Jimin out of a loathing for the Dragons. "Either way, things are going to get wild."
"Kang-ah? I'm home." Yoongi had just taken his shoes off and made his way into the living room. Hobi wisely paused the movie, so Kangwoo wouldn't miss any of that over his excitement over Yoongi's return.
And Yoongi lifted Kangwoo up into his arms, holding him while he looked over the room, noting the table on the middle of the rug.
Kangwoo squealed happily and ran up to Yoongi, flapping his arms a little and then looking up at him, bright and interested, eyes focused on his yellow shirt. They were like brothers now! He liked that.
"We wanted to make the living room look... better." Namjoon argued as he started to get up and hoping to leave before Yoongi hurt them. "Anyway, we better go."
Before the whole 'the boy peed on the rug' issue came out.
Yoongi held Kangwoo in his arms and pressed his lips against his forehead for just a moment, wanting him to know he was well taken care of. Then he looked at the table again, while Hobi took Namjoon's hand and started to tug him toward the exit.
Hm. "You should stay."
At least until he'd figured this out. He turned his head to look at Kangwoo. "Hey, why is there a table on the rug, Kangwoo?"
Kangwoo wasn't sure what was happening so he looked at the rug, blinked a few times and then idly put his fingers in his mouth. "Wet."
"Yeah, he spilled juice. So, anyway, we're gonna--"
"I needed the toilet."
Damn it! Why couldn't that boy have shame? Namjoon winced and hid behind Hobi, hoping no one was going to yell. "Okay, yeah, he also... did that. But we did clean it."
"Uh-huh. You owe me a rug. That's twenty thousand." Hobi gasped dramatically at that announcement, grasping his chest, but Yoongi wasn't even looking at him. Instead he just looked at Kangwoo. "Do you want to go to the toilet with hyung now? I know the silly boys aren't much help."
"Hey! I sang a banana song that he loved." Hobi wasn't going to have his babysitting skills disregarded entirely.
"They said there were no bananas for me. And then they wanted to lock me up. And--and--and! I -- there was water. And it hurt." Kangwoo pouted as he buried his head into Yoongi's neck, feeling a little confused and scared but not enough to worry. "It was okay cause then banananananananananana woo."
"Okay. I get it. That sounds bad but ... he was icky and we tried to give him a bath but it went badly and then we had to lure him out and ... yeah! Hobi sang a great song. He laughed."
They were yelling so Kangwoo whimpered and clung harder. No, he didn't like the sudden noise.
"...whatever, just get lost and get me a new rug. We will discuss things later." Yoongi kept his voice quiet on purpose, because he could see that Kangwoo was getting upset. No wonder! Silly boys indeed. Hobi started to sneak toward the door, mumbling the whole time.
"Banana, woo! Banana, woo!" And he could keep going until they were outside.
Yoongi rolled his eyes and started to head toward the bedroom. "How about we have bath time and then we go back to movie watching together, Kang-ah?"
Well. Technically. He was in a bad for all of five seconds so that counted. Bath achievement unlocked, time for TV time, story time and bed time. "I have Star Wars left. Han left. He's gonna comeback though." And he knew it cause he had seen it but also because Han was the best. Yoongi was like Han. He had a blaster.
"Am I in trouble?" He did make the rug wet and people seemed loud so he wasn't sure. Sometimes that meant bad things, sometimes it didn't.
"No, you are not in trouble at all, Kang-ah. The silly boys are, but not you." Yoongi set Kangwoo down on the bed and ruffled his hair, then he quickly walked into the bathroom to turn on the warm water. He figured out that Kangwoo didn't like the sound, so he decided to let it fill while he waited with him in the next room.
And so he came back into the bedroom, smiling at Kangwoo. "Hyung can make bath time fun, I promise. Remember what I showed you? The bath bomb?"
"No eating it." Yes, he remembered. "No licking." Kangwoo nodded as he kicked his legs back and forth, watching his bare feet go up and down. It was easier than looking at Yoongi. He didn't need to look at him much though, he always just sort of sensed that things were okay. He had a steady, even tone that had enough gentleness in it that he always knew that Yoongi was all okay.
"I want to put it into the water." It was a bomb. Sounded fun!
"You can! We are just waiting until the water is ready. Do you want to pick out what you're gonna wear after bath time? Because right now you are only wearing pants..." And he wouldn't have bet on him even wearing underwear underneath them. Yoongi ruffled Kangwoo's hair and then moved over to the dresser that he had filled with what clothes Kangwoo had, not a lot so far. Still, he held up some shirts.
"The man I went to see, Jimin-ssi, he really liked the shirt you picked for me."
"Yellow." Kangwoo agreed as he looked at Yoongi's shirt and then down at his own. "We match. We're brothers." With a happy smile, Kangwoo slid off the bed and went over to where his clothes were being kept. He raised through until he found his pyjamas and some underwear, coming over and holding up both for Yoongi to take.
He only had plain coloured pyjamas, appa didn't like getting too much with it. "Is he nice?" He wanted to know more about hyungs friends. "Did you play?"
"Not really, you know? We worked, we didn't get to play. It's boring. But he is very nice. He has a difficult job, it's going to be very scary for him." Yoongi took the clothes that Kangwoo held out to him, then he gestured to the bathroom. "I'll go in and turn off the water and then you can follow and drop in the bath bomb, huh?"
At least the bath bomb really did seem to make for Kangwoo being less scared. "I know they make mistakes, but did you have fun with Namjoon and Hobi?"
"Yes!" As scary as it was sometimes, he liked them a lot. "Hobi is funny." He especially liked silly Hobi and his fun songs. Kangwoo waited outside for Yoongi to turn off the water, excitedly singing it until his hyung came back out. "They fed me bananananas and then we watched Star Wars."
Very exciting for Kangwoo. He came into the bathroom, bouncing excitedly as he took the bath bomb and went over the water. "Byebye!" Then he dropped the bath bomb, very excited.
"Ohhh, Kangwoo, can you see? Can you hear? So exciting!" Yoongi knelt down next to Kangwoo and wrapped his arms around him, watching the bath bomb dissolve in its foaming way. Hey, he really did think that was pretty exciting. "Smells nice too. You're such a lucky boy, getting a nice bath like that."
Yoongi kissed his cheek, then frowned. "Hey, did those two idiots also feed you something other than bananas?"
Kangwoo squealed excitedly as he watched it fizz and turn the bath a super fun colour. Giggling, he bounced along and bravely put his hand into the water, scared but brave, wanting to experience the interesting fizzy noise. He wiped his wet hands on his pants and looked up at Yoongi, smiling straight at him. "Pretty!"
Other food? Hmm. Kangwoo scrunched up his face. "Banananananana. And cake." It was what they had leftover in their fridge.
"Sooo pretty," Yoongi confirmed, smiling back at him. It seemed like a smart idea to encourage Kangwoo whenever he was engaging this readily, he didn't want any effort going to waste. "Do you want to get into the pretty water? It's really nice now, see?"
He hoped that would be enough encouragement. And he bit down on his lip. "No proper food yet, huh? Maybe we'll just find something really good just for you and me."
"Kay." Kangwoo covered his head with his arms and gave Yoongi a serious, and a little scary, look. It was more intimidating than anything Jimin had pulled off. "No water on my hair. I don't like it. It's a no." So he didn't have water near his hair, his ears, nose or eyes because no. He hated that feeling.
Otherwise, he was willing. He was already pulling off his pants so he could get in it. "Help me in."
"Today, no water in your hair," Yoongi promised, "But you are a brave boy and another day, we will find a good way to wash your hair too, or you'll be smelly." But that was for another time. For now Yoongi waited for him to be undressed and then he lifted him up, gently placing him in the bath.
"Is it nice?" He smiled at Kangwoo, while feeling for his phone in his pocket. "Hyung likes to take a bath with music."
Kangwoo seemed unsure. He sat there, looking baffled and yet, fascinated. He patted the water a few time sand then tasted it. Then spat it back out. Ew. No. He didn't like that at all. With a pouty expression, he stuck out his tongue for a few before putting it back in his mouth. "I don't listen to music. Sometimes it's too ... stimoolatey. And then my head hurts."
Not that he had tried for a long time but appa always said no. He remembered liking when eomma made music. "I like the Star Wars music."
"Maybe we do something you will like then. Not too stimulating." Yoongi looked around and then started up a video where a girl was playing the Star Wars themes on the piano. He liked piano, it had a nice sound and it was Star Wars, so maybe it would work for Kangwoo. "See? Bath time is fun time."
He pulled a funny face. Maybe he could convince him.
"It's okay." He wasn't going to go crazy here and love water but it was okay if hyung was here for it and he had music and fun coloured water. "I still don't like the water. It's scary." But he could learn to get on with it sometimes. As long as it stayed away from his hair. He hummed along to the music as he made pathetic kid attempts to wash himself. So, basically, splashing water up his chest and arms.
Good enough! He turned to Yoongi, smiling. "Can I get out now?"
"In a minute," Yoongi promised, because he reached for the soft sponge he liked to use and gently ran it over Kangwoo's skin. He needed him to be clean properly and so he couldn't just let him off easily, even if he didn't like water. Much as he wanted to coddle him. "All right!"
He finally nodded his head, satisfied. "Are you ready to come out, Kang-ah?"
"Yeah." He was done being in horrible water. He eagerly stood up, all wet and eager, gripping onto the side of the bath and trying not to wiggle or bounce. He knew that slipping in the bath was a big owie and he didn't want to risk it.
"Hyung, if appa is not my appa, who is my appa?" It seemed like a good question to Kangwoo. "Is it you?"

"...why did we rearrange furniture?"
