"The only way to get good at anything is to keep doing it. You of all people gotta know that, Mr Perfectionist." Moving on to the next card, Yoongi was careful not to move his arm too much, not wanting to dislodge Jimin from it. But then Jimin let go anyway and said that and Yoongi frowned.
"I always just write about what I know. If you wanna do different stuff, you're better off talking to Namjoon about it, he gets all kinds of ideas into that head of his." Genius brain, Yoongi supposed. "You've never been in love, huh?"
"No, does that make me a bit of a loser?" Jimin smiled at Yoongi and then blushed, shrugging his shoulders bashfully. "I-- I guess I always was too busy. I never got girls. Not that they were difficult to understand but I couldn't really figure out what to say or do so... I never did anything. And then I became a trainee and dating is not okay." And he took that actually quite seriously. He bit his lower lip as he considered it.
"I want to feel love but I don't know if I can." He didn't know what he wanted and even if he did, was he allowed to? He took the next spare card and started to pack it away with the rest of the gift. "I know some kinds of love. I know my parents, my brother, I love all of Bangtan and Army."
"No, it doesn't make you a loser. I never did anything good with love either." Yoongi supposed that was one way to put it. Although, admittedly, it did make for good inspiration, where songs were concerned. "If you want to sing about love, then sing about the love you know. I bet ARMY would love it if you wrote a song for them."
Strange in some ways, but it made sense in others. Yoongi knew how much they owed to their fans. How much they would keep owing to them. "But there is more to life than love." Yoongi frowned. "Thankfully, if you ask me."
"Do you not have a lot of luck in love? Your songs can be downers about it sometimes, huh? I don't get that. You're King Min Yoongi! Who wouldn't love you?" Or maybe it was the other way around, he wasn't sure. He didn't get now anyone didn't love Yoongi. He wrapped his arms around Yoongi's one arm and propped his chin against his shoulder, watching him write.
"If I was a girl, I'd want to date you." Perhaps a weird sentence but it made sense in his head. "You'd be my bias."
Yoongi snorted, unable to help it. Such a naive and cute sentiment. Such a very, very heteronormative sentiment too, but he was certain that Jimin didn't think about it that way even remotely. No harm in it, just cute. "I'd have thought your bias would be Taehyung."
Not that he'd actually thought about it, but might as well tease. He finished the current card, fishing for another one with the arm on the side that wasn't occupied by Jimin. "Actual love is different than the concept of it. But I'm sure you'd be a cute girl."
"He's my best friend but I couldn't find him-- like a bias." Attractive, alluring, fascinating. Not that he wasn't fascinated by how weird TaeTae was but to him, the one he liked the most was easily Yoongi. He listened to his music, he loved to watch him perform and he just could talk to him. Not that he was attracted to Yoongi but he would be the one he would be attracted to if he was a girl and wanted to date a hot boy.
"You think so? Aww! I would be. I hope I'd be prettier as a girl." He didn't think he was too pretty right now but maybe as a girl, he'd look way better. "I'm glad I'm not a girl though. I like being a Bangtan boy."
"Probably easier. Being a boy." Not that he'd ever been a girl, obviously, he just imagined. Yoongi didn't want to be a girl. He also really, really didn't want to go down the path of thinking about what member he would date 'if he was a girl'. Ridiculous. He shook his head and focused on the card for a little while, until it might have almost seemed as if he was talking.
"I don't think ARMY could imagine you being any prettier than you already are, Jimin-ah."
"You're sweet." He nuzzled Yoongi's arm and then pulled away, looking down at the cards he had stacked up and swiftly got back to work. "I'm so excited for the event, I can't wait for your fans to see all your hard work. You're going to put us all to shame." That was why he was their bias. He counted his handful of gifts before dropping them gently into the giant box they had already amasses.
"I can go deliver these. I'll need your card and I'll come straight back with it!" He grinned excitedly. "You can trust me, Yoongi-hyung."
"Of course I trust you." Yoongi scribbled his pin code down on a piece of paper, then got his wallet out of his pocket and put the piece of paper together with his bank card, handing both to Jimin and bowing his head slightly. "Thank you, Jimin. For helping with this and just..."
