"We'll see what to do about them. They are pretty notorious troublemakers, so I don't think that anyone will have an issue with me believing Yoongi over them. He's always honest." To a fault, given how outspoken he could be. Yoongi lowered his head to try and sink into the floor, slightly annoyed when it didn't work. "How about the Christmas concert now being mandatory for you, not optional? I believe Miss Lee has been trying to talk you into playing the piano, hasn't she?"
Yoongi looked at Namjoon, trying to think of a way out of that. "I have nothing to wear." Wait, that would so not work. He could already hear Jin, Namjoon and Jin's mother debate what he should wear. Damn it.
"I think you should do it. You don't have to be on stage in front of everyone, you can play off to the side but you should do it. That's a good punishment." He smiled at Yoongi and shrugged his shoulders. "Sometimes life sucks, kid. Take your punishment and be glad it's not cleaning toilets. I punched a kid once at school and that was my punishment. So gross."
Reaching out, he ruffled Yoongi's hair and got up, bowing to the teacher. "I'll take him home, get him cleaned up. Thank you for your time and understanding." He bowed once again. "Yoongi really is a good boy, he means well. He just means it in his own way. Such a good kid." Turning his head, he smiled at Yoongi. "My kid."
"You are embarrassing, hyung." Yoongi just thought he'd let him know. He could only see out of one eye and he was blushing and it just really wasn't his day, but he got up and bowed to his teacher, feeling quite grateful ultimately. "Thank you. I'm sorry. I won't do it again."
"Get beat up? Good, I hope so." The teacher shook his head, smiling just a little bit. "You are not as tough as you want people to think, are you?"
Yoongi shrugged his shoulders and bowed again, before hastily leaving the room.
"Nah, he's not. That's why it's so funny to embarrass him." Smiling, he bowed again at the teacher and then took off after Yoongi. He had to laugh, Yoongi was so red and pouting. "I'm sorry. Consider that my punishment for you for getting into a fight. Don't get me wrong, they deserved it but you can't fight. It's bad."
Except this time. Then Namjoon thought it was okay. "Okay, we gotta go pick up your brothers in like half an hour. Want to go get a coffee? For me. Not for you. You can have juice." So there.
Yoongi nodded, although he pouted at the continued caffeine ban. So not fair. He wanted to have coffee. Whatever, he liked juice too and it wasn't as if he'd have to stay up long tonight. Not that he likely wouldn't try to anyway. "Can I have ice, hyung? For the eye."
He was limping a little bit, but mostly he just hoped the eye would stop swelling soon. He didn't like having his vision impaired.
"Can you tell me if you are mad at me?" He wanted to get the yelling out of the way.
"We'll get ice there. I'll ask for some, don't worry. When we get home, you can take some painkillers and see how you feel." He might need an early night. He was in rough shape. Looking around to make sure no one was there to see him embarrass Yoongi, he swiftly pulled the boy into a quick hug and held him for a few.
"I'm not mad. I don't think you should fight but you were defending your brothers. I'm actually very proud of you." He let go and then put an arm around him, mostly to help him walk. "I meant what I said. You're a good kid. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they're liars."
"Okay." Yoongi nodded his head and then he let the hug happen. He even leaned into it. He wasn't sure what it was, but something had shifted inside him a little. Maybe just because he'd been so sure that Namjoon would shout at him or... He wasn't sure. He just expected something bad to happen and now it didn't and he wasn't sure what to do with that.
"I don't like fighting anyway." For a simple reason. "I usually lose." Well, he wasn't the strongest. "I prefer dissing." He was so going to write a diss track about these boys. "Please don't tell Hobi what they said. Or the kids." Not that he thought Namjoon would tell the kids.
"I won't. Why would I tell them a load of shit anyway? It's just something they said to upset you. You know who Tae and Jimin are good for? Me and Jin. We love those kids." Not creepy pervers, they were not that damaged, they were sweet boys and Namjoon loved them. "And Hobi is such a good boy. You all are. You just slip up. We all slip up."
Namjoon held the door open for him and headed outside, pulling Yoongi in a little closer. It was chilly out, seemed the smart move. "Next time some dick tries to provoke, ignore them. You know you're love. Or, at least, I hope you do."
"I was gonna ignore them, but then the dick punched me and I wasn't gonna be a punching bag." He had to draw a line somewhere. "I used to fight more, but then I got the kids." He had had to learn how to ignore what people said, he couldn't get into fights the way he had before then.
Yoongi let Namjoon hold him and he liked it, liked that he was being held, liked that Namjoon told him that he was loved. He wasn't sure why he liked it so much. "Thank you, hyung." He stared at the ground as they walked. "I love you." This was so embarrassing.
He didn't even hesitate for a second. Shit, he was making such headway. This was incredible. "Come on, let's get you some juice and some ice. We'll make sure you look less horrifying or Jin will get upset when he sees you. Don't want ruin your handsome face or it'll clash with your pretty legs." Teasing, he ruffled Yoongi's hair and kept him close, walking them to the crossing.
