"Hello. You must be Ten." Jin smiled at the boy who didn't know who was seated at his kitchen table, stretching a little. It had been a long shift, but that wasn't anything new. He mostly didn't mind, but he really wanted some comfort now. "I'm Jin-hyung. Do you like hot chocolate?"
That said he already headed for the fridge, hoping that there would be enough milk left.
"No, I, uh, I don't speak Korean. Only Thai. No speak." Ten got up swiftly and shook his head, knowing that he shouldn't have stuck around this long. He eyed up where Hobi had gone off to sleep and glared at the door. Dumbass. How did he need to sleep this much? They used to barely sleep.
Hot chocolate did sound good though. He eyed him up, cautiously considering him. Oh shit, he was so handsome. What a beautiful man.
"I'm sure you know 'chocolate', don't you? I make it properly too, melting the chocolate into it. You can come see." Jin was already pouring the milk into a pot and then he got out the chocolate he liked, breaking off a piece and holding it out to Ten. "It's good. Try. Tell me if you like it."
That said he began chopping the chocolate into tiny pieces, idly thinking about whether he should bring Namjoon some when he retired to bed. Maybe not, his husband really needed to catch up on sleep.
Ten tried a little bit of the chocolate and then nodded, holding it back out to the stupidly handsome man and nodding. "Is good." He came in closer, watching curiously as the other made the hot chocolate. He wasn't a shy boy by any mans, he didn't trust these men but he was no stranger to hanging around odd men and making small talk. He found it enjoyable, in his own way.
"You're very handsome. Like movie star. Or like idol." Ten smiled at him and wondered if he was nicer than Namjoon. He was scary, he yelled so angrily before. "Like me. I am very handsome."
"You are a very handsome boy," Jin agreed with a smile. "I used to be a model. Do you know what that is? It helped pay when I was just studying. Now I'm a doctor." Less pay, ironically. But he found the work a lot more fulfilling.
"I bet you could be a model too. Handsome Ten. I should show you off to my old agency some time." He dropped the chopped up chocolate into the milk and gestured to the drawer Ten was standing next to. "Can you give me a spoon from there?" Maybe if he just kept talking normally, Ten would drop the pretence of not understanding enough Korean.
"I am very handsome, yes. I will go wherever you send me but you pay. Pay well." Ten insisted, not sure entirely what he meant by agency or modelling but it sounded like something up his alley. He hurried off to get the spoon, holding it out to him and then coming in close again to watch the chocolate melting. "Very handsome, very flexible. I am very good so I have to be paid."
He had to make that clear now, he knew how to get money. Once he got it just for himself but now he had others to worry about. Yes, Hobi took care of him but in return, he had so many younger brothers. He had to help him. Good boyfriends helped. "I need money."
"You mostly just have to stand and they take a photo. I'll show you." Not that Jin really knew whether Ten could be a model, but he certainly seemed handsome enough. "It's not sex." Might as well say that straight up, no use talking about it. "Just you being handsome."
He kept stirring the milk, watching it get browner and browner, careful to lower the heat so it wouldn't burn. "Money is good to have. What do you need money for?" Jin mostly hoped that he wasn't too badly addicted. Here was hoping, or they'd have to try and keep him at the hospital for a while.
"I don't have sex." It's a cop house, he didn't admit to anything. He didn't give away stuff because he knew that it could get him in trouble, cops were always just waiting to bust him. He knew that. They would take his money and then toss him back out. He needed his money, he had to keep safe.
"I need money for friends." Like Hobi, like Yoongi and his boys. "I need money for food and bed. I need money for... medicine." Easier than saying he needed drugs and besides, medicine was a good thing. "Feel better then."
"I see." Definitely drugs. "I like to drink hot chocolate. Always makes me feel good. And I'm a doctor, I know all about medicine. Chocolate is the best." Jin smiled and turned off the stove, filling the chocolate into two mugs and then placing them both on the table, sitting down and gesturing for Ten to do the same. "I love this. So good!"
He blew on the hot liquid, willing it to cool down faster. "So, Hobi is your boyfriend, yes? I hope he's a good boyfriend."
"Handsome doctor. Your husband is so lucky." He knew that was every mother's dream. He followed along and sat down, waiting for Jin to take his and not wanting to assume anything. When Jin gestured, he took it and sniffed it first. Sometimes people put stuff in his drinks and yes, he watched him make it but it was a habit. Once he was pleased, he took a sip.
Holy shit, that was so good. So very good. "He's a good boyfriend when he doesn't ditch me." Like he did recently. "I say he's an okay boyfriend. You can always do better."
"You tell him that! Although he always remembers. He's a very good husband, I'm lucky. Sometimes he's dumb, but that's normal. I'm sure Hobi is too sometimes." Jin took another sip from the hot chocolate, smiling. Mhmm, very good. "Hobi didn't mean to ditch you. But Jimin was very, very sick. I was really worried that he was going to die, but he's a little fighter and he made it. Do you know Jimin too? And the others?"
"Of course I know Jimin. Jiminie, TaeTae and Kookie. I am uncle Ten." He grinned playfully, he had watched them once or twice, he taught Jimin dancing and gave him life advise. He just had to work a lot. And things got busy sometimes, hence why he couldn't help when Jimin was sick. "I wanted to help but I was so busy. Busy, busy. I'm glad Jimin is okay."
He knew Hobi and Yoongi would do all they could. "Keep them. They're good boys. They want family and love. You will do that, won't you?"
"You are a good uncle, I bet. And yes, I'll do that. I love them a lot, all of them. They are a lot of work, but they make me very happy. Your boyfriend is like sunshine. He makes everyone smile." Seemed only fair to praise Hobi a little too. He still thought about what Namjoon had told him. Hobi had cried because of Ten. Worried for him. He couldn't blame him.
"Money! Then shiny things. I like Gucci. When I'm bored, I take Yoongi hyung and I make him look in windows with me." He liked window shopping and besides, they both played basketball so if they wanted to go to and from the court, they had to walk by the stores anyway. It was fun. He hoped Yoongi would be allowed out to play still but most of Ten's free hours were late and apparently 10am was the curfew.
God damn it. "I also want more hot chocolate." Despite the fact it was only half drunk, he knew he'd want more.
"You'll come drink hot chocolate with me sometimes then? Good. I don't like being all alone." And apparently - hopefully - everyone else was asleep at this hour. At least Ten was admitting that he liked something Jin provided, that was a start. He didn't know how to go further from there, but he would see what was going to happen.
"You know... If you actually get to be a model, you get to wear fancy things for pictures. And sometimes they let you keep the clothes. I've taken some pictures for brands."
"No, thank you. No." Ten shook his head, he didn't want to be a model cause it sounded like a lie. He'd heard that line before. Just some pictures for modelling - yeah right. He wasn't doing that for free, he wasn't doing something he didn't know and understand. "I make money, I'm a good worker. Thank you, hyung. I don't need you."
He bowed very politely, just so he knew he didn't mean anything bad by it. He just didn't need someone like Yoongi and Hobi did. Looking up, he did smile a little, devilish smile. "You can give me money though. If you want to donate. I like money."
"I'm sure you do. You sound like Yoongi." Jin laughed and shook his head, not too discouraged. he wouldn't have expected it to be that easy. "Do you want to see some pictures I've taken later?" It wouldn't be difficult to find, he knew that Namjoon had collected them all, digitally and physically, because he was an absolute sweetheart. And maybe that would make the whole thing more real for Ten.
"Do you ever check whether you are sick, Ten? Or do you not like doctors?"
"Uh, yes. Show me." Was this a sexy thing? He looked over at the door that Namjoon had disappeared into and then got up, determined to see the pictures and be as receptive as he could do. He really wanted some quick cash. He had to start saving. If this went to hell and Hobi was wrong, he had to be able to finance them.
"I don't need a doctor. I'm young. Fit. Healthy. I'm not sick." Ten smiled and no, he was not receptive to the idea. He knew what a doctor would find. "I get my own medicine."
"I'm sure you do. I just worry that you might have some sickness you don't know about. Let me know if you ever want me to check, to make sure. It's not about getting you in trouble. It's about helping you." That said, Jin got up and headed to the study, returning shortly with a folder that he handed to Ten before he sat back down.
"If you look, you can see the ads I've done and what they are for. There are some for PUMA, you'll know that brand. Others, too. You could do something like that."
"You're soooo handsome. Handsome doctor." Modelling was a dream, he could never do stuff like this. Too young, too weird, not up to Korean standards like Jin. Ten smiled and slid his chair closer, not sure if he was reading the vibes right or not but he was being nice, he made his cocoa and showed him pictures of himself modelling. Showed him how hot he was. He probably wanted something. Leaning over, he placed his hand on Jin's thigh and smiled softly.
"We can be quiet. Your husband will never know. Promise. I am very quiet." Ten winked and grinned, hoping he paid well. "So handsome."
That was so not what he was going for here, but Jin tried to not freak out. After all, he was used to getting hit on. It happened a lot at work. Admittedly, usually by older people, but it was still something he was very used to. He gently picked Ten's hand off his thigh and then reached out to ruffle his hair, catching his eyes as he did so. "No. You are a child to me, you know? I'd never want to do something like that with you. I'm your hyung. I want to take care of you and protect you. I don't want anything like that."
He didn't. He wasn't sure what went wrong. Did he fuck up or did this guy not want him? He felt embarrassed now, he fucked up and he was going to tell Hobi. Then Hobi would know. Damn it. He wished this guy could have just been a normal pervert. "Uh, yes, Ten understands."
Nodding his head, he slowly got up from his chair and eyed where his jacket and shoes were. "I should go. I'm busy. Tell Hobi-- I will see him. I have to go." Cause he was an idiot and he was going to get ratted out to a fucking cop for being a whore. God damn it.
"...Ten, no. Please. It's not a problem. I'm not-- You are safe here, okay? No one is going to do anything bad." Jin sighed, wishing he knew what to do and say to make Ten feel at least a little more secure. "I don't care what you do anywhere else. You are here, you are drinking hot chocolate with me and we can talk. That's all that matters. Here, you are a good boy. Aren't you?"
"No." He wasn't a good boy and he felt uncomfortable now, really uneasy. He wanted to go and crawl into bed with Hobi, cuddle his boyfriend and not think about this. Any of this. Everything was changing and it was too much. He bit his lower lip and pressed his back to the nearest wall. It felt safer. "I'm not a good boy. Hobi is such a good boy, so is Yoongi. I'm not." He shrugged sheepishly. "They're safe here. I'm not."
"All right." So that was how Ten saw it. Jin wondered how he could change his mind, if he could change his mind at all. "I wish you would know that you are safe here too. Namjoon and I don't want to hurt anyone. We would like to help. No matter what happened on the streets."
He doubted that words would be enough to convince Ten. Hell, he knew they didn't even convince all of their boys entirely, at least so far. "You want to go, right? Hm. Do you have any kind of identification?"
He had an idea. "There is a hotel at the end of the street. If I make a call, you can have a room there and I would pay. We can make that deal. But only if you promise to be here tomorrow at eleven pm. You can help me and watch Jungkook."
