"I always play nice," Minjun told Gyungho, smiling at him and getting a little lost in his eyes. But then he focused on what his boyfriend had actually been saying and he nodded, gesturing to Yoongi to follow him. "Come along. And please tell me you have a girlfriend or something, I swear these actors can smell fresh meat."
Indeed, even though they were in the middle of rehearsing a scene, suddenly everyone glanced their way as Minjun led the two past. Everyone knew Gyungho, of course, but Yoongi was new. New was always exciting.
Yoongi just stared at the ground, trying not to stumble. Thankfully the silent thing tended to work for him, at least when Gyungho wasn't there to tell everyone that he was shy.
"We really need the sound to work, we need to practise dancing today. The dancers apparently can't do it when the sound isn't right." Minjun rolled his eyes. "Dancers. Worse than actors."
"I assume they need to know the beat." Gyungho pointed out as he stirred Yoongi along and gestured at the sound system. "If he does this, we gotta pay him. I said we would so... go find some dollars, would you?" He grinned playfully at Minjun, only teasing. He had enough to pay Yoongi and even so, Yoongi was a good kid, he probably wouldn't even ask for anything.
"Are you getting out music back?" Ten called out, lazily draping himself over Sian and locking eyes with the hot tech boy.
"He is. Stand by while Yoon-ah tweaks." Gyungho informed them all proudly. Then he leaned down and whispered to Yoongi. "Be careful with these actors and dancers. They'll eat you alive if they get half a chance."
"Oh yeah. I will just go to the back and shake my money tree. Already watered it today." Minjun smirked, looking at Yoongi. "We get free donuts cause one of our stage directors jobs at that donut shop on campus, so you can have one of those." Hey, that was about all the payment he was expecting.
"I don't know if I can fix it anyway," Yoongi remarked, to Minjun as well as to the guy that had called out to him. Who he now looked at and then he just stared for a few moments, before turning away a bit too hastily, sure that his face was about to go tomato red. He really hated himself. And had that boy next to the hot guy had rainbow hair? He wasn't even sure. He just remembered his face. Damn. How was anyone just casually this beautiful?
"You can do it. I'll help." Gyungho started to move around cables and stuff, trying to find if anything was loose but it didn't do a lot of good. He mostly just wanted to seem proactive so Yoongi would feel like he had back up.
Slipping free from Sian, Ten waltzed over, playful and curious. He always reminded Gyungho of a cat and in this case, it was a lot like a cat cornering a cute little garden bird. Devil child. Ten leaned on top of the tech and looked at Yoongi. "You're new."
"He's my roomie. Go prep, we'll fix this soon."
"Nah, I wanna chat." Ten leaned forward a little more, trying to catch Yoongi's attention. "Are you a music student?"
"Yeah. Composing and piano." Yoongi frowned and then got out the toolkit he had brought along after Gyungho had given him some info for why they had to go. He opened it up and looked at the screwdrivers, trying to remember what he was looking for. He didn't want to look away from looking down, because then looking over to hot guy would be too tempting. Finally he managed to pick out a screwdriver. "I'm going to open the panel."
He said it to Gyungho as if Gyungho had any idea what he was doing.
Minjun felt almost sorry for the guy. He should not let him too close to Jackson. "Ten is our dance talent. Choreographer and everything. And that's Min Yoongi, Ten."
"Hey, Yoongi. You're a hot one." Ten laughed playfully and moved back, letting Yoongi work and crossing his arms, just watching curiously and trying to get a feel for him. Shy? Kinda cute. He was awkward too. Very red, probably not good at controlling his emotions. Ten found it fascinating. He didn't often meet shy boys. "Composing? Fancy. All I do is dance."
He underplayed it like it was nothing. To him, it always kind of felt like it was.
"No, I'm just-- Gyungho-hyung asked if I could look at the speaker." And he wasn't sure what to do here. He had never gotten attention from someone this hot. Honestly, he had never even seen someone this hot. He looked like an idol. Yoongi pulled the panel back and then pushed the hair back from his face. "I think I can fix it."
"Awesome." Minjun was happy with that giving a thumbs up and then walking off, gesturing to Gyungho. "Come on, I'll go find a jar I can't get open." Or just any other excuse to get some quiet make out time, whatever.
And Yoongi realised he was now alone with the hottie. He looked up, wanting to be polite. And wanting to be cooler than this. "What music do you like? For dancing."
