"Moo." Kangwoo agreed thoughtfully. He didn't actually get any of this but he was curious and interested in the shiny men and he knew that hyung wouldn't leave. Would he? He said he'd come back and he didn't have to lie so he would. Even if he felt a little anxious at the idea of him leaving. Okay, a lot anxious. "Hyung comes back."
"Of course he will, he just has to go and talk to the boss." Namjoon assured as he ate some bananas off his pancakes and turned to smile at the boy. "We could watch Star Wars while he's gone."
Well, that had the boys attention. They were gonna be the best babysitters ever.
"You watch Star Wars and if there is something wrong, the two can call me on my phone. So it's all good, yeah? And yes, hyung comes back soon." Yoongi linked fingers with Kangwoo as they had before, smiling a little at him. It seemed like the promise thing was working, so he would keep going with it. "Promise."
"Wear tight pants, boss, then Jimin-nim can't get mad." Smart idea, Hobi thought.
"Maybe bend over. Maybe smile at him. Oh man, if you smile at him, he won't even hear what you say." Namjoon teased. The tiny crime lord was so in love with Yoongi, it was precious. Every time Yoongi came to visit, he melt for the assassin and acted like a bashful school boy. Which was a big difference from how he was usually yelling and losing his temper. He was a brat but a cute brat.
And hopefully he wouldn't dare piss Yoongi off over the kid or they'd have some problems. "In all seriousness, when you see him, maybe point out the... you know, consequences. He might not get it."
"Yeah, I'll go over it." Yoongi sighed and then looked at Kangwoo, making a grimace for him and also because he was feeling it. "Hey, Kang-ah. Do you maybe want to wash quickly and then get dressed? Hyung will do that too, then hyung has to go and you and those two can have a fun day together."
He really, really hoped that would go well.
And Hobi squealed joyfully, elbowing Namjoon. "We will get to buy him outfits!"
"Oh my God! Tiny shoes." Namjoon also got excited, clapping his hands. "The ones that light up! And Star Wars ones." All very exciting. Namjoon was already bringing up amazon to look at little outfits while Kangwoo tilted his head to the side, considering what his hyung said.
"Bath before bed?" He was a little confused. He didn't want to go to bed. Or have a bath, truthfully. He shook his head stubbornly and returned to playing with his food. Mostly the fun texture of the banananananana. "No baths." He looked down at his pyjamas and then nodded at the idea of clothes. "Giraffe shirt."
"Hm. All right, so we will have a bath later? Before bed?" Yoongi supposed he could deal with that. "Hyung needs a shower now though, he's smelly." Well, he was a grown ass man and he had just slept a night while cuddling a tiny boy, of course he was smelly. "But the giraffe shirt? All right, sounds dope. Do you want to help pick out hyung's clothes too?"
Kangwoo nodded and slid out of Yoongi's lap, already toddling off to go and look for the right clothes to match his giraffe shirt. Namjoon beamed at Hobi and gripped his arm. "Look at how cutely he walks! He sways a little. He's like an adorable baby drunk."
Once in the room they slept in, Kangwoo wandered around and started to open drawers. And, like most kids, he was specially fascinated in Yoongi's pants and socks. Hence why he mostly picked out two undies, four pairs of socks and one t-shirt that was also yellow like his giraffe shirt. Then he started chewing on some jeans.
"...huh." Well, he would have trouble wearing all of that at once. "We really need to get you something you can chew, huh? I better tell the shopaholics that." Yoongi sat down next to Kangwoo on the floor, picking out the chosen clothing items that he would actually be able to wear at once. He supposed he could wear a yellow shirt, match with Kangwoo for the day.
"If there is anything you need, you let those two know, yeah? They really like shopping."
Kangwoo nodded his head but he wasn't going to ask for anything. It seemed like a lot. He held out the jeans he picked and flailed them in the air so Yoongi didn't miss them. Then he started to awkwardly take off his own clothes. It was hard but he did it with a lot of whining and whimpering because the shirt lightly brushed his ears and upset him a lot.
He sat there, happily naked, looking up at hyung. "Giraffe shirt and blue shorts." He didn't have an opinion on the underwear, he didn't much care for underwear himself. He felt it was better served as a fetching hat than on his butt.
"Okay. But first you need underwear too." Yoongi looked through the bag he had so helpfully packed yesterday, offering a pair of underwear out to Kangwoo. "Do you need help?" He had already found the giraffe shirt, so at least he was making progress.
"You will look soooo cute in that outfit, Kang-ah, the others are going to melt. You'll see, they will yell, like silly boys."
"I need help a little." Kangwoo gripped onto Yoongi as he stepped into his undies, one leg at a time, almost falling over twice but he did it and soon he had underwear on. And he looked down at them, dismayed but learning to live with it. "I don't wear diapers any more." He was a big boy. Big boys peed in the potty and wore underwear. It was ... not fun. And tiring. And the toilet was scary so he still just went in his pants a lot.
The toilet looked like it wanted to eat him! It was just a big scary mouth. "I'm all grown up. I'm four." By Korean age, anyway. "Big boy." He held his arms up so Yoongi could put his shirt on.
"Very big boy. And already no diapers, huh? Woooow." Yeah, he'd have to give them a heads up about taking him to the toilet regularly. "Do you want to go to the bathroom with hyung, so you can go to the toilet? I can help."
Seemed like it'd be a bit high up otherwise. Yoongi put Kangwoo's shirt on for him, carefully avoiding his ears as much as he could. He had paid attention before after all. "Ohh, so cool. Giraffes are funny animals, aren't they?"
"No." He shook his head and then smiled up at Yoongi. "I don't need to go." He was very happy to adjust his shirt and look down at the animal on his shirt, distracted from the idea of the scary mouth toilet monster. Much like the scary bath monster that happened when water was draining, he had learned to avoid it as best he could. In general, bathrooms were scary!
Sitting on the floor in his undies and t-shirt, he started to look at the carpet and run his fingers along it. "I never seen one but I like this shirt. It's the fun shirt." The only fun shirt he owned. "Fun shirt is for good days." And this was a good day, he had bananas!
"What if we got you more fun shirts, huh? Like Star Wars." Yoongi pulled Kangwoo close so he could help him put on his shirts, trying to get to the bottom of this. He kept his voice low, not wanting him to feel like he was in trouble. "Kangwoo, is there a reason you don't like the toilet, maybe?"
"Star Wars." Kangwoo nodded as he bounced a bit and almost sat on Yoongi's knee, squirming excitedly. Soon, he was lying across Yoongi's lap, sprawling and looking at the ceiling, not sure why Yoongi was talking so soft and nice about such a bad thing. He had to do things and they were not fun so the strict tone was used. Like the toilet, washing his hair, brushing his teeth and all of those scary things appa yelled over.
"Toilet is scary." He opened his mouth wide and then snapped his teeth. "It bit me once." In a dream.
"I see." Yoongi stroked Kangwoo's hair carefully, gently combing it back from his face and just feeling how soft it was. What a cute boy he was. "See, my toilet here doesn't bite. But to make sure, maybe hyung can come with and scare the toilet into behaving? And then when you're done, you can be in hyung's arms and hyung can flush, so you will be all safe."
"Okay!" Kangwoo beamed up at his hyung and petted his face. He was also a cute boy. He could take care of hyung and hyung could take care of him. The pinkie promised to stay safe so he had to scare off all the scary mean things too... even if that was scary in and of itself. He clung onto his hyung and hugged him from the side, lazily and not well executed. "We're friends, hyung."
Like best friends! He read about those in the story books he had.
"We are friends!" Yoongi agreed and then got up, gathering the clothes Kangwoo had laid out for him under one arm and offering his free hand to Kangwoo. "The bathroom is right through that door. We will need to get you a few things, I don't really have stuff for boys."
Luckily he trusted that Namjoon and Hobi would very gladly take care of all of that. "And tonight you can have bath time in the tub, yeah? Do you like taking a bath?"
"No." In general, he hated the bathroom but he did like being clean so there was that. He clung onto Yoongi's leg and pressed his face into his jean covered leg. "I hate water." It got in his ears, up his nose, in his eyes! It burned and hurt, it was too wet and sometimes it got ticklish. He didn't wanna go near it but he knew he had to.
"I likkkkkkke... juice." Maybe he could bathe in juice. Maybe he could ask the shiny people. Maybe they would do it!
"Hmm... I can't promise you that you can bathe in juice, but maybe we can make it so the water has a nice colour and a good smell? That's what hyung does." As he explained that, Yoongi reached for one of his bath bombs, holding it down to present it to Kangwoo. "Just smell, no licking. That's nice, right?"
Maybe he could help him get over whatever trauma he associated with water.
Kangwoo sniffed it and hmmed curiously. Sniffed again. Then he held it up to his hyung with a baffled experience. "It's like berries!" But it wasn't berries so how did that thing smell of berries? Were they putting berries in his bath. That was like bathing in juice. Kinda. Except he couldn't lick it. Could he not lick the juice water too?
"Do you like water?" Was hyung also scared or did he take baths like a champ too?
"I don't like all water, but I like bath water. Because it's all warm and soft and smells nice. You just need to take a bath the way hyung does, then it won't be scary at all." Yoongi made his promise and then returned the bath bomb, not wanting to risk Kangwoo licking it after all.
"Now, how about you go to the toilet? And hyung can play a song on his phone, make it less scary."
