Tae figured that if he was about to die - and he certainly felt like it - he at least went out with something positive. He wanted to say something else to Jimin, but in the end all he managed was a smile before passing out again.
Hobi put his rifle together, looking around before even leaving the car. He had t find a good vantage point quickly and he had to somehow keep his nerves. This was so much easier when there was more preparation time and when there wasn't... Well, Ten. He didn't know why, but this hadn't even felt like this when it had been about Namjoon all that time back. Maybe because he saw Ten as his to protect and he already felt as if he'd failed him.
He started his ascend and Yoongi walked up to the building, exuding confidence he didn't feel. Nothing new there. He walked right up to the door, knocking it with his fist, but only three times.
"Ko Cheon?! This is Min Yoongi. I believe you have something that's mine. We should negotiate!"
Cheon let go of Ten almost immediately, pushing him aside as he did his pants up. Min Yoongi, here? That was kind of as planned, but it seemed too fast. He cursed under his breath, trying to refocus his mind. "Who's with you?!"
Namjoon snuck around the back of the building, gesturing for Jungkook to go the other side. He couldn't see any signs of anywhere else to enter. This place was a dank, windowless nightmare box. It was unlikely they were getting in.
Ten dropped down uselessly, his body giving up under him as he hit the floor hard. He wanted to pull up his pants but he couldn't use his hands right now. He was going to die now. Die after everything. Min Yoongi would kill him or Cheon would, one or the other. He wished he could have seen Hobi once more, he was always so kind of him.
Jimin jerked upright, shooting Tae a panicked look. "Tae? Tae? What else did Namjoon say? I-- I think I can hear Yoongi! Oh, Tae. It's going to be okay." Hopefully. Maybe. At least it sounded like Yoongi had come, he could only hope he was going to save them all.
"I assume Tae is already dead." Hopefully not, but if Tae's recounting of the events was right, then Cheon might not have any way of being sure of that, which meant that if he assumed as much, he might not check on Tae at all, leaving him free from further danger.
"What about Ten? Want to kill him? He's been all over your precious Jimin." Cheon just wanted to find a way to get back into control. This was tricky and he knew he could lose easily. He had to try and figure out where he stood.
"One of my men wants to answer for Ten. We'll see." Honestly, he hadn't entirely made up his mind about it. "But I want Jimin. Now. Show me Jimin and you can tell me what you want."
Ten didn't know why Cheon was throwing him under the bus like that but then, when didn't he? He just wanted to crawl away somewhere and curl up. Which is what he tried to do. He wanted to get away from Cheon. If he was dying, he didn't want to die near him.
Like a wounded dog, he tried to drag his body away from Cheon.
Jimin tried to get upright but he couldn't. Every time, he got jerked back down. He wriggled his hips, trying to get his pants back up, just trying to hear what was going on. He wanted Min Yoongi, he wanted him to make it all better. He wanted Tae to stay away. "Tae, I know you're not awake but help is coming! I swear it."
"Step back and put your gun down and I'll get Jimin."
Cheon waited and Yoongi complied, moving back a few metres and putting his gun down on the ground, lifting both hands. He wished he had a way of knowing whether J-Hope was in position, but he would just have to trust him. There wasn't really another option.
After a tense moment, Cheon moved, turning down the hallway. He grabbed Ten by the arm when he passed him, dragging him along and back into the room. He let go of him next to Tae, pointing his gun at him for a moment. "I should shoot you right now. You could die with your friend."
Whatever. He had no time for games. Damn Min Yoongi. He moved to undo the handcuffs holding Jimin to the bed, but immediately cuffed his wrists behind his back instead. Since he needed to walk him to the door, he pulled his pants up, even if he didn't bother buttoning them. "I'm going to blow your brains out right in front of your lover," Cheon whispered to Jimin with a smile.
Ten had lost all will to fight at this point, he let himself be dragged and dropped, limp and compliant. He didn't care. He was dead anyway and he suffered for nothing but at least he had saved Jimin. That was something? He wasn't a total coward. He gave up trying to have any dignity or safety and just lay there, staring at Tae, hoping the other was still alive.
Jimin yelped at the rough treatment and stumbled onto his feet, wishing he looked a little more together for this. He tried to ignore Cheon's comment, he was just trying to scare him. Yoongi wouldn't let him die. He wouldn't! He'd have a plan.
"You're sick. You're a sadistic bastard. I can't believe you did that to Ten." Or that he was about to do that to him. Why did Cheon think he owned everyone? "Yoongi-hyung will beat you. We both know it. Even if I die."
"I'll kill him," Cheon assured him, "I have a plan." Well, at least he had a gun and Yoongi currently didn't have one, so there was that. He walked Jimin out of the room and down the hallway, stopping before he opened the door to kiss along his neck and finally bite down on it, suck and nip until he was sure to have left a mark.
"You'll always be mine." With that he finally opened the door and walked outside, holding the gun against Jimin's chin.
Yoongi kept his hands up, looking Jimin over and relieved to at least not see any serious injuries. Everything he did see was bad enough, especially the undone pants. Especially that mark on Jimin's neck.
"You're revolting!" He hated the feeling on his neck, still wet and probably darker than he cared for. He remembered how often Cheon did that to him before, he always wanted to mark and claim him. Cheon never got beyond a few blowjobs he hadn't wanted to give, he supposed that was something. A way of showing resistance.
Cheon hadn't beaten him.
"Yoongi, I'm really sorry." Was the first thing he could think to say because he shouldn't have broken the rules. "I love you, I'm so sorry. Tae is hurt, I-- I'm sorry!"
"Shh, Jimin. It's fine." Yoongi wasn't exactly pleased that Jimin had ditched the guards, but hey. He had done those things and worse when he was younger. He didn't blame Jimin for these consequences, he knew he hadn't seen that coming. "I love you too."
It felt opportune to say it now, because he knew he had to gamble. J-Hope was watching, he had to be. He had to trust that. "What's your plan, Cheon? You're not going to get very far. No wonder your gang was so easy to take out. You are pathetic."
Well, Namjoon always whined about how Yoongi's strategy was often to draw the aggression against himself, but hey.
Cheon sneered at him, digging the gun against Jimin's chin hard enough to make him tilt his head back. "Are you trying to provoke me? You are transparent. You are the pathetic one. Everyone knows you'd be nothing without your father!"
Yoongi made a move to bend and go for his gun, which made Cheon finally target him instead of Jimin. There was a shot, loud and clear and when Yoongi realised he wasn't the one hurting, he picked his gun up, looking up in time to see Cheon's gun hit the ground.
A moment later and Cheon was screaming, holding his shoulder with one hand. Yoongi moved forward immediately, kicking the gun on the ground out of the way and pointing his gun at Cheon. What a good shot. Hobi really was the best.
"I killed my father." Yoongi felt that might be worth pointing out, if a bit belated. Cheon had dropped to the ground, the pain overwhelming.
Jimin's ears hurt and God, he genuinely thought he was about to die in that moment. His eyes were clamped shut and he expected death but it didn't come. He dropped his head back down, confused where the gun went. He turned around, eyes open, looking at Cheon on the floor... what? Hobi-hyung? It had to be him!
He didn't want to jump all over Yoongi because he knew that it was dangerous still so he hurried behind him, a light touch on his back.
Namjoon wasted no time running into the place, dragging Jungkook with him. They had to go and get the boys out of there so they could clear the area. God, he hoped Tae was still alive. He checked every room until he hit the final one, bursting into it.
"Oh, shit."
There was a lot of blood in this room. He didn't know what blood was from who, he just hurried forward to get Tae, crouching down beside him and checking his pulse. "Tae, buddy, come on. You there? Kookie, get Ten out of here!"
Yoongi took his phone out, holding it to his ear as he called for an ambulance, his gun never wavering from Cheon, who was glaring up at them both with hate-filled eyes. Not very effective right now, Yoongi thought, but whatever. "We have three injured parties." He gave the address, then quickly described the nature of the injuries. "One has been beaten up badly, one has been beaten and raped--" Might as well get right to the point. "--third one has an injured earlobe and is in shock, possibly other injuries."
Because, no, he wasn't about to get Cheon to an ambulance. Instead he confirmed a few details and waited for Namjoon and Jungkook to come back out with the victims. He ended the call and put his phone away again. "They said ten minutes."
Tae's eyes blinked open, but remained unfocused, even as he looked around the room. "Jimin?!" He had his priorities.
"Tae?" Jimin hurried straight over to Tae as Namjoon set him down carefully outside, still holding him in his arms and trying to keep him still. "Oh God, you're so hurt. Are you okay? Are you going to-- It's okay, Tae, it's all okay. I'm fine." His ear hurt so badly he wanted to cry and he was terrified but otherwise, he was fine. Thanks to Tae and Ten, really. He turned his head and watched as Jungkook hauled Ten out and dropped him onto the floor as gently as he could, he'd been kind enough to pull up the kids pants at least. He left him on the floor, not overly feeling touchy with him, focusing instead on Cheon.
"You're a sick son of a bitch, you know that? I'm going to have fun hurting you."
Jimin kept stroking Tae's hair gently, inspecting his head for wounds, trying his best not to look at Ten. The boy had done all of that for him, he felt sick inside thinking about it. How could Cheon do that? Any of this?
"Fuck off, you little twerp!" Cheon hissed the answer, voice pained and very, very angry. "You are just lucky you've got people to hide behind or I'd have fucked you over worse than that." He glared at Jungkook, clearly wishing he could fuck him over right now.
"Jungkook, Namjoon, get the bastard into the car." Wouldn't do to have an injured man out when the ambulance came. Yoongi had no idea how long J-Hope would be, it was hard to figure out from where exactly the shot had come, but he assumed he might not necessarily make it in time before the ambulance.
He stepped up to Jimin, kissing the top of his head. "Try not to move him too much." Tae looked badly off, but it was hard to judge how serious it really might be. He crouched down by Ten's side, since he didn't know where J-Hope was and it felt wrong to ignore him. Whatever else might have gone down, this was definitely a traumatised kid when it came down to it.
"I've called an ambulance, so you'll be taken care of. I won't kill you." He'd have to see about punishment.
Namjoon let Tae lie down carefully before grabbing Cheon and moving the pig towards their car. He could ride in the trunk, it was where he belonged. Jungkook took great pleasure shoving him in and making sure his head hit against the top of the trunk as he did it. "We're going to make you scream later." That was a guarantee.
"You will kill me." Ten wasn't stupid, he was beyond defeat now and he didn't even care. He couldn't find any will to move from where he'd been dropped. He knew what Cheon had told him, he knew everything. He was so screwed for so many reasons. Cheon was going to drag him down with him, he'd seen him do it. "Just don't let him near me again. Please."
"Yoongi won't kill you." He wasn't a bad person, he knew he couldn't state it outright but Yoongi was a good guy, he wouldn't kill Ten just because he did something stupid. "Hyung, he tried to kill Cheon! He stopped him from -- from raping me and then he did it to Ten." Jimin couldn't help crying, the emotions bubbled over and he leaned into Yoongi for comfort. "They got hurt and they didn't deserve it! Cheon wanted to hurt me."
"He's not getting near anyone again." Yoongi could promise that much. He wrapped one arm around Jimin, wishing he could comfort him properly, but they were still out in the open and he wasn't taking any risks. He just held his lover. "He won't hurt you again. I can promise you that. He's not hurting anyone."
Definitely looked like he'd done enough damage. He didn't bother arguing with Ten, he always kept his word and he'd said he'd not kill him once. Seemed like enough effort to him. "They did the right thing, Jimin. Your safety comes first."
Might as well teach Jimin that harsh lesson. Jimin was with him, hurting Jimin was the closest anyone could get to hurting him. Just like he had to reward Jungkook for taking a bullet for him. Not much of a difference. "You'll have to help me pick a present for Tae."
Perhaps it was best to talk as if he was sure Tae would make it, even if he had no way of telling.
J-Hope finally made it down, entirely out of breath when he ran over, not bothering with anything else and just dropping down next to Ten, immediately pulling him up to cradle him against his chest. "Devil child again, huh?" He stroked Ten's hair, not bothering with hiding his tears. He couldn't hide his emotions well anyway, so he never tried.
"Is Tae going to be okay? He's not moving." He was still breathing, he could see his chest rise and fall but he wasn't an idiot. He knew that he'd been hit in the head a lot tonight, it was possible that there would be swelling he couldn't see or some kind of damage there. The fear made him want to be sick, he couldn't lose Tae. "I need him, I can't lose him! I can't, Yoongi."
"He'll be fine, he's a fighter." Namjoon came back over, just checking on Tae without touching him. "I saw the lights of the ambulance, they're on their way down to us."
Ten didn't expect to see Hobi hyung again and especially not in any positive way. He expected Hobi to kill him, to not care, to shatter the illusion he had of him and do what Cheon expected he would do. Instead, he was crying. Odd. Ten went to reach up and wipe them away but his cuffed hands didn't want to work and remained limp. "I'm sorry, hyung. I had to do it. I didn't want to die." Cheon scared him so much. "Please don't cry for me. I'm no good."
"He knows how to take a beating and he was still making sense not that long ago. Can't have hurt his brain that much." No, Yoongi didn't actually know any of that, but Jimin was distressed and he wanted to make him feel better. "Namjoon, take Hobi and ride in the ambulance. I'll meet you later." No, he didn't want to leave Jimin, but he had responsibilities and an asshole in the trunk. "Jungkook, you're with me." He didn't think Jungkook needed a reminder of the hospital this soon.
"Stop saying stupid things, I'll cry for you as much as I damn well please." J-Hope reached down to stroke Ten's hands, wishing he had something to open the handcuffs with, but at least he could hold his hand gently, hating how broken Ten looked. J-Hope reached into his bag, the one he'd brought his gun and ammo in, and produced the hat he'd given to Ten only hours ago. Seemed like days or months right now. He carefully placed it on his head, not sure what he could say that would be as effective as the gesture. "I'm not letting anyone hurt you, you hear that? I'd rather fight Suga over it."
"Got it, boss." Jungkook hurried ahead to the car, more than happy to get the fuck away from the hospital and all these injured people. He didn't hesitate to walk away. Namjoon thought it was pretty telling. Kookie was still rattled.
"I'll take care of them. Jiminie, come here. I'll take care of you and Tae until Yoongi has handled business." Namjoon held out his hand but Jimin didn't want to go. He held onto Yoongi and gently kissed his cheek, taking some time to just enjoy the closeness and get the feel of Cheon off him. It took all his strength to break away and go to Namjoon.
"I love you." He really, truly did. "I'll see you soon." God damn it.
"I lied to you and I set you up. Set them all up. I'm no good." Ten pointed out, still not feeling like he deserved the hat or his love, the kindness that he was giving. It didn't fit. When Hobi had started looking through his bag, he assumed he was getting a gun and as scary as it was, it made sense. This didn't. "Cheon is gonna tell Yoongi things and then you'll want to kill me." Ten felt tears escape his eyes and he didn't know why but the more gentle Hobi was, the more it hurt.
Yoongi walked over to pick up the gun he'd kicked away from Cheon, then waited for the ambulance to arrive, since he'd been the one to make the call. He quickly indicated the victims and made sure they'd be careful moving Tae - although he assumed they knew that better than him - then resisted the urge to go to Jimin again, since that would just make it harder. Instead he turned and got into the car with Jungkook, exhaling as he leaned back and they started down the road.
"You all right, Kookie?" He did look shaken. Yoongi knew he was, but he also trusted that he didn't look it.
"You are a victim, Ten. I won't blame you, no matter what he made you do." Damn it. Hobi wished he had seen just how damaged Ten was sooner, he definitely blamed himself for that. He might have said more, but the ambulance was there and soon Ten was carried inside and all he could do was follow behind him and reach for his hand again, even if it was still cuffed.
"Don't think I'm a wuss or nothing but... I'm a little freaked out. I mean, I've seen guys beaten before but..." He never really liked them. This was a lot, it was different. It was more sadistic than he was used to their gang being. "I know the dark dragons are looser with their morals but damn. That Ten kid... he was bleeding from his--" He didn't even want to finish that statement.
He'd seen fights before, all that kind of thing, but rape? Nope. And that could have happened to Jimin? Jesus Christ.
Namjoon herded all of the injured parties onto the ambulance and made sure everyone was being seen too, even Jimin. He might have looked fine but he was still pale and bleeding. As the paramedics started to work on Tae and Ten, he reached out and pulled Hobi back to give them space. "They'll be fine."
"I know. He pounded on Tae. Not very useful technique for interrogation. We lucked out that Tae was aware enough to text." Aware enough for some time at least, he hardly seemed to come to now, which was probably not a good sign. But there was nothing more he could do right now. "Rape is always worse somehow. I don't know why. If you ever wondered why I won't be a pimp, there's your answer."
Hobi watched Ten, not sure about anything right now. His body, probably, but he was worried about his mind. His spirit. It hurt his heart to see him broken down like that, without hope. What was he supposed to do about that? "I won't let Suga do anything to him." He wasn't sure where Suga stood on that, but he was insistent. "I'll take care of him myself."
"It's so brutal. I mean, he just fucked that guy without -- shit, it's so crazy." He got it, he really did, no wonder Yoongi was always so intense about being mistake for a pimp. Who'd want that kind of life? He watched Yoongi for a few moments before looking out of the window and trying to ground himself. "Are we going to kill Ten? I kinda wanted to before but now... it's not -- I dunno, it feels wrong." How did Yoongi stay so stone faced when he knew that what happened to Ten could have happened to Jimin? God, he'd be crying right now.
Namjoon put an arm around Hobi and watched the paramedics work. It was hard to tell if Tae was going to be okay and Ten looked so dead inside, it wasn't exactly promising. "You know Suga isn't a monster. We'll talk to him, yeah? I'm sure it's not what it looks like anyway." He knew Yoongi, he loved Yoongi. His best friend wasn't a monster, he'd only do what was fair.
"I told him I wouldn't kill him." Which he thought should answer the question succinctly, but this was Jungkook and he supposed he could give him a little more. "Hobi's answering for him. If he still means that later, I'll make him his responsibility. Cheon can take the punishment for what he made Ten do." Because there should be punishment for that. Just didn't seem fair to punish someone who was so clearly a victim. "According to Jimin, Ten attacked Cheon and took the fall for him. Evens the score a little." Made it easier to be lenient.
"What do you know? You don't know what he's thinking either." Damn it. He really did miss when things had been simpler. He wasn't complaining about more money and power, but everything always came at a price. "I know he won't be cruel. I-- Whatever. I just want this to be over." What a nightmare. "Ten is just a kid. He likes to play and that bastard broke him."
"I did think but I wasn't sure. I know Hobi is our friend so." He didn't know if they were just lying to make him feel better. He was glad, in some ways, that Cheon got to be punished for Ten. He felt it evened everything out nicely. "I still think we should punish Ten. Mostly because when he's not hurt, he just pisses me off." Jungkook smiled weakly, trying to make this horrible situation a little lighter. "He should clean my car."
Namjoon sighed and nodded his head, knowing that Yoongi could be. Fuck. "I'll go to bat for the kid but I don't think Yoongi will be that cruel." Besides, he kind of saved Jimin. That might give him his life at least. "He won't stay broke for long. No one does. You can make it better and Yoongi is reasonable if you just talk to him. We're his friends, we can get through to him."
"Why's your car so dirty, where have you been driving?" It seemed like a better thing to focus on, because anything that had him think too much about how easily Jimin could be in much worse shape was making him anxious and he couldn't afford that. He'd just have to see him soon. Hold him. Be certain that he was safe. Than he'd feel better.
"I guess." J-Hope wasn't sure what else to say. He wanted to trust in Yoongi and part of him did, but he wished there was more he could do for Ten at the moment and there just wasn't. He was sure he could talk to him. He wasn't sure whether he'd be able to reach Ten again, not really. That would be the difficult part. "Shit day."

We're his friends, we can get through to him."
no subject
"I guess." J-Hope wasn't sure what else to say. He wanted to trust in Yoongi and part of him did, but he wished there was more he could do for Ten at the moment and there just wasn't. He was sure he could talk to him. He wasn't sure whether he'd be able to reach Ten again, not really. That would be the difficult part. "Shit day."
