"I got a bracelet. It's pretty! It has the moon and the sun on it." He would show it to him but his sleeve was down and he was making drinks. Ten could see a vague glint of shiny catch the light and idly, he considered stealing it. Then he considered dying and swiftly opted against it.
"I bet it's pretty. You're very lucky, hyung. You both are. You're doing very well for yourselves, you seem happier." Then again, last time he saw them, Cheon was using them.
Jungkook sat down slowly and bowed his head, feeling weak for doing this but he really didn't want to make himself worse. "Hyung, I'm so sorry, I think I need to finish early today and I didn't finish my to do list. It just hurts." He didn't want to give up. This was so frustrating. "I could rest for a few and finish up later?"
"I work a lot. It's tough, but fun." Tae didn't really have any complaints. "Slowly going to work my way up." It was going okay, but sometimes he felt a little impatient. However, he had never gotten this much validation before, especially from Namjoon. "Show me the bracelet later, Jiminie? I wonder if it's diamonds again." Tended to be. Or whatever else was tasteful and expensive. Min Yoongi had excellent taste and style.
"Go to bed, Jungkook. You're no use when you're tired." Of course it came across more dismissively than he meant it, because his actual first impulse was to pull Jungkook into a hug and then find a way to make him properly recover before he had to deal with anything. "Maybe we should figure out a way you can get your work done while you're recovering. Do you need more men?"
Yoongi was weighing his options. "What's left on your to-do list?"
"I'm really sorry, hyung." He didn't want to be useless. God, he hated how this felt, he never let down Yoongi before and lately, that's all he did. He lowered his head apologetically. "Just remodelling and planning meetings. And we're trying to find where some of the girls belong. I need Ten over there to help locate where three girls come from so we can help them get home."
They did promise, after all. But all three spoke Thai and they weren't sure of their address. It was a lot of stress.
Ten turned his head at the mention of his name, ignoring Tae and Jimin talking about their expensive stuff as he eyed up what was happening. He hoped it was nothing bad. He slowly turned back to Tae and gave him a look. "So, erm, this gang? How trigger happy are they?"
"It's not your fault. You are injured." Yoongi was thinking, checking his watch. He certainly didn't have the time himself and Namjoon was busy elsewhere as well, so that didn't leave a lot of people he could trust. "Can it wait? Hoseok, you could go there tomorrow morning, sort things out. I want you to take it easier, Jungkook. No more full days." Not until he stopped looking this strained this quickly.
"Well. We stole a ton of coke from them and look at us now, so... Not very?" Although it was debatable. Tae was aware that they had been lucky more than anything. "Depends on circumstances. Min Yoongi is scary." In his opinion, anyway. Of course, when Jimin talked about him it was a different matter, but he was just saying, in general. "Even Hoseok-hyung is scared of him sometimes."
"I'm sorry. I thought it was getting better." Jungkook still bowed before he looked at Hobi pleadingly. "Can you take over on some of the duties just for the morning, please? I can help as much as I can. I just don't think I can walk back to the club right now." He was going to get a ride back to his place and take some painkillers, cry a little for sucking so much. "Thank you for being considerate."
"He's not scary. Ignore Tae. He's a puppy." Jimin informed him. Yes, he was telling this random guy that the mob boss was a puppy, he really wasn't great at PR. Heading over to Yoongi, he set down a bright green drink with lots of umbrellas and a funny, twisty straw. "For you, Yoongi!"
Ten just scratched his head. "I don't believe for a second that he's a puppy. I watched him gun down half of Cheon's club. Him and his men. He's got such a cold stare."
"Yeah, he's scary. He had a gun pointed at me once and I've never been more scared in my life. For comparison, Jungkook's pointed his gun at me plenty of times, didn't even come close." Tae wasn't sure what it was. A certain quality, he supposed. It was an aura thing, like he never thought about how Min Yoongi was as short as Jimin. "He's not a puppy. Tiger, maybe. Anyway, why are you asking?"
Tiger he might be, but he had a smile for Jimin anyway and an eyeroll for how ridiculous that drink looked. But Yoongi took a sip and then gestured for Jimin to sit down next to him. He might send him off again if the business talk became too boring, but for now all that happened was J-Hope nodding.
"Sure, sure, I have time. I'll make my way over to the club in the morning and I can deal with Ten. We'll get those girls home. They're really excited now that they actually believe the offer." Each of them had gotten some money, IDs and what not, whether they chose to leave or not. It was heartwarming to see, they rarely got to be charitable in this line of business. "Please don't worry about it, Jungkook. I'll text you if I have any questions."
"I should send someone with you, Jungkook. I want you to stop pushing yourself too hard." Yoongi was worried and he wished he could get that through Jungkook's thick head.
"Just wondering if he'll kill me." He always wondered that quite often but he understood Cheon just like he understood how their gang worked. This place made less sense. They were nice but they didn't hesitate to hurt. So weird. "So, uh, that Hobi guy? -- Is he taken?" Just out of curiosity, no big deal.
Jimin sat down and smiled at Yoongi, hands under the table so he could reach out and put it on Yoongi's thigh. He just liked to be close to him, to touch him. "I'm glad you're helping the girls get home. You're a good person, Yoongi-hyung." He was so proud of his boyfriend, doing such a nice thing for those poor people the Dark Dragon's exploited. "Me and Tae could take Jungkook home, if that's okay? We could all play video games."
He sensed that Jungkook wasn't feeling good so he was pretty happy to make it a bit easier on him and make the option of retreat seem more fun. Jungkook seemed to consider it, eyeing Tae at the bar before nodding. "If you guys aren't working, sure. Whatever."
"Don't think he will, unless you give him a reason to now. If he says something, that's what happens. They all do that, it's about your word meaning something. You should ask Jungkook about it, he practically worships the boss. I guess they all do a little?" Even Namjoon seemed to have those moments, maybe because he was his hyung. It was interesting. "Hobi... I dunno, I think he just plays around? He's a busy guy, he owns a club, he's young and hot, I'm guessing he just does whoever. Don't really know for sure, but I'd know if he was seeing anyone."
"I'm not. I just don't have any interest in being a pimp." Yoongi thought about Jimin's offer for a moment, then he nodded. "Sure. Take Tae and go have fun. Just let me know if you are coming home tonight or not." The men hired to keep an eye on Jimin knew how to do their job, so he was sure they'd get in contact with the other shift and switch seamlessly, whether they were at Jungkook's place or anywhere else.
