"Yeah. Sure." Yoongi fell silent, simply watching Namjoon on his probably futile quest for water. Although, who knew, sometimes the pipes surprised him by actually doing their job. He worried his bottom lip, realising that Namjoon didn't understand what he was getting at. If not even Namjoon could understand him, he doubted that anyone would.
"Do you think you'd bother hanging with me if I was just Yoongi? When Yejoon kissed me, he did that just because I'm Yoongi." Not that that had ended well, but that was beside the point.
"I like you because of who you are. Not because of what you'll be. I like you because for my eight birthday, we went on a trip to the beach and it was way cooler than any overpriced gift. I like you because you tease me endlessly when I screw up with girls and you throw soda cans at me if I ignore you. I like you because you're my best friend." And he did not like the tap he was fighting with. He pulled away from it and turned around, looking at Yoongi with a small smile, still half asleep but he knew what he was saying. "I'm never going to kiss your gross lips but I wanted to hang with you before I even grasps what was going on."
He always liked Yoongi. He was an easy going boy for the most part and whenever he was with him, he felt like he belonged. "Doesn't matter what we do, cruising around in an expensive car or living in this shithole. I always have fun. You're never boring, Yoongi-hyung."
"You are never boring either." That much was for sure. He moved closer to the sink, staying on the ground so he could try and loosen up the pipes a little. This really was a shit-hole, but what else was new? At least winter was past the worst of it now and spring was coming. "Maybe we can go to the beach tomorrow. I'll get us a bus ticket."
Just one last day before he made a move, before he got going. Before there was no turning back. "I guess some parts of being the boss aren't so bad." He struggled to figure out what they were right now, but maybe that was just his general mood right now.
"Oh man, that'd be so cool. I love the beach." Namjoon held the sink still as Yoongi worked and then turned the tap. "Ha!" Water. Grinning, he let the gross water run off until it was clean, holding his hand out to cup the water and take a gulp. Perfection. "I know you're going to hate this suggestion but, you know, maybe we should take Kookie with us. You know it'd make his life worth living if we invited him."
And Namjoon couldn't help it, he had a soft spot for the kid. He was cute.
"You know, if you're that worried about becoming a boss, we could do something free tonight. Something we can't do otherwise." Hmm. "We could go drinking."
"Because that's what I want to be doing when I'm taking you out for the last time proper. Babysit." But Yoongi didn't exactly say no. He shrugged his shoulders, leaning back against the wall. "We'll see." Maybe. He didn't actually mind having Jungkook around, he just wasn't sure if he'd be in the right mood for that.
"You think the boss can't go drinking?" Well, probably not at a cheap place and actually get drunk, so fair enough. "Sure. If you're awake enough. Sneak into that drag bar."
"We don't have to, we could also take him for his birthday next month. I dunno, he tries to hard, I kind of feel bad for him." But he did like the idea of them having one last blow out together, just having fun like kids. It wasn't like they'd get to stay that way for long. Yoongi would rule sooner rather than later and running off to do trips and play was out of the question these days.
"I know, dummy, but can the boss go drinking with just his bud in a cheap drag bar? Nah." Namjoon moved across the room, sniffing a shirt to see if it was fresh enough to wear. Eh, good enough. "Let me attempt to shower and let's get drunk."
