It was afternoon, so Yoongi didn't expect much of anyone to be at the club when he met Hoseok there. So seeing Jimin behind the bar was a surprise. He walked over, pushing the hair back from his face and gesturing to his men absently, so they fell back. He didn't need an audience. "I didn't know you'd be here."
He checked, just to make sure Jimin was wearing his gift.
"I like to be here. It's fun." Jimin smiled softly as he started to mix drinks, just casually testing out new cocktails for sale. He was still learning, after all. He set his work aside and leaned forward, he was most definitely wearing his gift. Why wouldn't he? This was so cool. Yoongi got him the best gift.
"Not bad. Might be able to go home early, depending on what Hobi's gonna tell me." So there was a reason to remain slightly apprehensive, but he wasn't too worried. J-Hope was easy to read and he hadn't seemed that concerned, so he doubted this was going to be all that important.
"What about you, Jimin?" He glanced at the earrings, then right at Jimin. "You look good."
"I am good, yes. I'm having a nice time, it's quiet here today. No drunks!" Jimin beamed and leaned forward over the bar, wanting to touch Yoongi but knowing he couldn't. Not in front of his men. "You should come see me after you see Hobi and I can make you another special drink. We could talk again. I like talking to you."
He liked anything with Yoongi. He was such a challenge.
"I can't do that. I have to go home, Min Holly's waiting. I promised him I'd be home today." He wasn't going to let him down, even if Jimin looked almost as adorable. The key-word was 'almost'. No one could be quite that cute. "Maybe later this week. Jungkook is feeling better, I should take him out. He can try out your drinks."
"Min Holly?" Who was that? Wasn't he single? He wasn't sure what that name meant but he frowned, unsure if he was disappointed or not. He pouted regardless and flopped against the bar like a kicked puppy. "Okay, I'l see you later in the week. You should come by soon though, I'll make you a fun cocktail." Abandoned and rejected, he continued to pout, doing a pretty good impression of Min Holly when locked out.
"Don't do that." Yoongi reached out and suddenly swiped his thumb along Jimin's bottom lip, looking into his eyes. "Somebody is going to catch your lip if you look like that."
It was a bit hard to resist. He let his touch linger a few moments longer, then pulled his hand back so he could get his phone out, looking through it for only seconds before turning it so Jimin could see the display. See the display and watch a tiny puppy play the piano. "That's Min Holly."
Jimin licked his lips without thinking, looking at Yoongi's phone with that same dejected pout. And then he saw a puppy. A tiny little adorable dog playing with a piano. "OH NO!" Jimin did not have volume control. He was loud and excited, leaning over the bar and making a high pitched sound, the body guards with Yoongi gave the kid a funny look. The hell was wrong with him? "Oh, it's a puppy! I love puppies! Oh no, he's so cute! I want to pet him."
How was one dog so precious? He looked up at Yoongi, giving him his own brand of puppy eyes. "Bring the puppy here some day, I want to pet him!"
Yoongi snorted, putting his phone back into his pocket, but overall feeling pretty satisfied. He did think that was an appropriate reaction to have to seeing Min Holly for the first time. Or any time, honestly. When he had first taken that video, he had sent it to Namjoon twice for the next week.
"I'm not taking him here. That's no place for a puppy."
Disregarding the fact that he couldn't exactly let himself be seen with the world's most adorable puppy anyway.
"If you're good, I'll show you more videos some time."
"I'm always good. I'll keep being good. I love dogs." Jimin was looking as precious as he could, just to secure more dog videos. He bounced up and down a few times before swiftly getting back to work. Cause he was good. See, look, cleaning the glasses and everything.
"I look forward to it, hyung! I'll earn it."
Hopefully. Maybe. He hoped one day he could meet the puppy, he'd be so gentle and nice to it. He loved animals. He always wanted one but it was never an option.
"Cute." Second time he had said that out loud just looking at Jimin and he couldn't even help it, so he just shook his head with a little smile before schooling his face again and turning away, since he heard J-Hope's characteristic steps approaching him.
Maybe the way his heart hurt around Jimin sometimes was comparable to Min Holly after all.
