"We can't all be seventy year old stuck in a twenty year old body." Tae apparently thought he had spent enough time not provoking Jungkook now. Whatever, he had started it. There was no reason to call him a moron. He wanted to put his shirt back on, but now he didn't, to make a point, instead just throwing it in the middle of the room. So there.
"Don't be mad at us just because you don't know how to have fun."
"I know more about having fun than you two." He went out partying last night, did some shots, danced and then went home to sleep in. Pretty nice. He sat himself on the edge of the bed and eyed up Tae, unsure if Namjoon was serious about him working with him. He was such a weirdo. Standing there, shirtless and pouty. Okay... that was actually funny. Jungkook huffed out a laugh, smiling for the first time since knowing these dumbasses.
And it wasn't an evil smile either. "I heard you wanted to get a gun. Please let me come to your first try with that."
"Sure, you can come. I might be good at it, you know?" He had the distinct feeling that he was being laughed at and he did not appreciate it one bit. "I've killed people!"
Well, he had killed one person and he really hadn't meant to bring that up as a brag or whatever this was even supposed to mean, but he didn't want Jungkook to look down on him. On the other hand...
"Can I see your gun?" He was just curious. "Namjoon let me hold his."
"Congrats. I've killed twenty two people." Jungkook didn't brag about his kills but he had done a lot of dirty work to get where he was and he was always eager to prove himself. Unlike Namjoon, he didn't feel bad when someone fucked up and had to die. He knew they sucked.
Jimin felt uncertain with this guy in the room and slowly gravitated closer to Tae for safer. He didn't like being in the room with someone who'd hurt Tae.
Jungkook pulled his gun out. It was gold plated, because he liked to be showy, and he held it up, pointing it idly at Tae. Jimin flinched and tensed while Jungkook just smiled. "I'm not firing it. You can look. She's my baby so don't touch her."
"Woooah. That must have been so expensive." Tae's eyes were wide and he put an arm behind him to hold on to Jimin's wrist, just to try and reassure him. "It's fine, Jiminie, he has the safety on." He was pretty sure that was hot it worked, anyway. He was also surprised and impressed, he had thought Jungkook was further down the totem pole, but he definitely knew that his gun must have cost a lot. At least if it really was gold. Hell, his gloves looked as if they'd cost a lot too.
"It does. Especially when you have a boss as honourable and respectful as Yoongi-hyung. He rewards greatly for loyalty and hardwork." Jungkook lowered the gun and rested it in his laptop so Jimin would stop tensing. Easy targets weren't fun to scare and besides, he hadn't come here for that. "Speaking of. Yoongi is dealing with the rat tonight. We're going to end this and then I guess you can leave this place. Providing it goes well."
"Is Yoongi handling it? Like-- doing it himself? Isn't that dangerous?" He didn't want Yoongi to get hurt or die. Mostly because their life sort of depended on him.
"Nah, me and RM will be there to back him up. He'll be fine."
"Has Yoongi killed a lot of people too?" Logically, Taehyung assumed as much. He was so intrigued and he had a lot of questions, but it was so hard to ask them without seeming like an idiot. "Is there going to be war? RM said there might be, he said it would be complicated. Yoongi said 'we'll see'." Which seemed to be one of the few things he ever said in their company, ultimately, probably not wanting to give anything away.
"...it's going to go well, right?" It only now occurred to Tae that it could not go well and he tightened his grip on Jimin. What would happen if it didn't go well?
Jungkook wanted to be a dick but he could see that they were both pretty scared. And as much as he had a lot of annoyance for them, it really wasn't fun to tease people who had nothing going for them. "Relax, Yoongi-hyung and Namjoon-hyung are pros. They know what they're doing. It is complicated but it'll be fine. If there's a war, we all stick together. And if you're going to ride with us, you get protected by us."
Jungkook shrugged, not enjoying having to comfort other people. That wasn't really his thing. "At the very least, you always have the option of just ditching Seoul and going somewhere safer."
"...we don't know anywhere else." Also, that cost money. They had no money. Which was easy to forget while they were in this hotel suite, but Tae always had it at the back of his mind. He didn't want to go back to that life, even if parts of it had been fun, but there was so much danger he always tried to keep Jimin from and he knew he wouldn't be able to keep him safe forever.
"But thank you." He bowed without even thinking about it, but he supposed it was the smart thing to do. Jungkook was the guy with the gun and the power here. "Hey. Jungkook. Do you know... Is Min Yoongi married? Is he single? He is gay, right?"
"... What? Why the fuck are you asking me that?" Jesus, these weirdos. "I dunno. He's single and I'm pretty sure he's gay cause he recently told me he likes me more now I'm bi and I assume that's the gay agenda everyone keeps talking about." What did he know? He kissed one guy at a party and suddenly the gays liked him more. He kind of dug it.
"Tae, come on." Jimin whined as he whacked Tae's arm and buried his head against him. "So embarrassing!"
"I'm just wondering! I mean, if I start working for him and he has a wife, I should send her flowers." Whatever. There, perfect cover-up. "He seems nice. You know, outside of how he is scary and powerful and all that. You like him, right? I bet he'd be nice to someone he's dating."
So, there. He got that cleared up for Jimin and he was very happy about that. Single and gay, perfect. Now Jimin just had to convince him that he didn't want to be single anymore. "So, you are bi, huh?" Also interesting to note. "I bet you have guys all over you. Do you hit them a lot or is that passion just for me?"
"I only hit people I don't like." Jungkook gave Tae a teasing smirk before shaking his head and getting up. "Guys, girls, whatever. Not like I'm interested. I live for my work, not for getting laid." Not that he had. He was still a virgin, believe it or not. He had been so busy trying to get work right that he'd tanked every relationship he'd ever had and never gotten where he wanted to. Not that he'd ever admit that. "Look, just, hang tight here and be good boys. We'll come back soon with news."
Jimin bowed to him once again but stayed close to Tae, still blushing a bright pink. "Thank you."
"I knew I was special." Tae flashed Jungkook a grin and then turned a little more serious, even as he stood there with his arms around Jimin and still shirtless. "I hope you can stay safe."
If nothing else, for their own survival. But he also didn't wish Jungkook badly. Or Min Yoongi. Or especially Namjoon. "Please keep RM-hyung safe. Thank you." He bowed as well for that.
"No can do, no one can take care of RM. He hurts himself though, not other people." So that was something. Jungkook headed for the door and pulled it open, giving them both a small nod of recognition. "We'll be fine. Someone will be in touch by the end of the week. Just stay inside and don't be idiots."
