"I'll make it happen. I can make it happen." Yoongi nodded, serious as he thought about it. He was Min Yoongi, he was next in line, he would make things go the way he wanted them to and he wanted something special for Namjoon. Maybe for his birthday, maybe even before then. And so he held his hand out to him, offering it for a shake. "I promise that I'll take you to the beach."
If he gave his word, it would have to happen. He would make sure of it. They never went back on their word, his father had told him that so often. His word had to mean something and he wanted Namjoon to know that.
Namjoon looked at him like he was the best thing that had ever happened, shaking his hand eagerly and getting some chocolate on his hand. "Really? Thank you, hyung!-- Uh, I mean Nim. Yoongi-nim. I really wanna do that." Namjoon was so excited, so unsure if it was real and so eager to just go and do it. He was almost bouncing with excitement. "You're so cool. I was really scared you were going to be a jerk but you're not. You're nice."
He wished he could hug him or high five or something affectionate but he knew people were watching them, studying them. "Thank you."
"I'm not nice," Yoongi told him, because he knew nice was weak and he couldn't be that, "But I reward loyalty and you are very loyal." Well, whatever. Mostly Namjoon seemed cute. So enthusiastic, so many emotions openly showing on his face. He wanted to make him happy, he wanted to keep him safe.
And, yes, he'd take him to the beach. No one could stop him. "And you are welcome. Call me hyung, Joon-ah. That's fine."
