"Yeah, he has a time machine and besides, he doesn't have to return to the planet Xmas until like April. We're good, Tae." Namjoon assured him, giving him a thumbs up. So their Santa wasn't traditional, big deal. Namjoon preferred this. Together, he and Tae, they crafted a whole lore and universe for their Santa and he loved it so much.
Jungkook listened to every single word with such seriousness, nodding along and trying to fit Yoongi's words in with his mom's. She never mentioned elves. Maybe she didn't know?
Yoongi was so famous and important, he probably knew everyone. Jungkook shuffled closer and bit his lower lip nervously, ruffling his hair. "You think so? They can -- I can get presents? It's okay, I'm a big boy but ..." He really did want presents. "Can Eomma have presents too? And Hobi-hyung? And Tae and Namjoonie-hyung? They have to have them first."
"Yeah, I think there's gonna be presents for everyone. They've all been good, haven't they? I definitely know that you've been a good boy." Yoongi held a hand out for Jungkook to take if he should feel brave enough. "What presents do you think they should get, huh? And what would you want?"
Tae gave Jungkook a tiny push, so he would dare touch Yoongi, but he didn't let go of him entirely either. He didn't want to upset him. "Kookie is always a good boy! I'm not, but I'm cute." So that counted.
"Yeah, cute my ass." Namjoon muttered as he got up to get himself and Yoongi a drink, kind of swooning over how good his boyfriend was with kids and kind of eager to give him a break and something a guest, not a babysitting, would get.
Jungkook stumbled forward and took Yoongi's hand, holding it and playing with his fingers, studying it with great interest. His hand was so big! And it had all kinds of lines along it. "Hobi-hyung wants a break for Christmas." Or, at least, that is what he'd said when tired yesterday and Jungkook had taken it literally. "And for uncle Ten-hyung to stop being silly." He wanted Hobi to have the best Christmas, he always took care of him. "And Namjoon needs fire."
"... You mean heat, Kookie?" Jungkook nodded, his eyes never leaving Yoongi's hand but Namjoon had worked it out. "Well, he's not wrong. I hope Santa brings me heat."
"I want -- I dunno." Jungkook shrugged. All the things he wanted, he didn't want to talk about them with a cool rapper or he'd think he was a baby.
"I'm hoping for a Kumamon doll." Yoongi had indeed told his manager that that was his wish for Christmas, so hey. Here was hoping that would come true. "I'll see about getting Namjoon some fire."
"I want another Stitch doll! And Gucci! I can get Gucci." Well, Tae would also be happy about just about anything else, but still. "And also when we are in Japan, I get to buy presents for everyone." That was the best present.
"Kumamon is cute. I want bunny. Like Tuzki." Jungkook nodded seriously and Namjoon came over, lifting the boy up and bopping his nose.
"Then Santa will bring it. Promise." Even if he had to take out a loan. "Just like Tae will get what he wants... though I don't know what Santa feels about Gucci."
Santa wasn't made of money, after all.
"It's this way, come on." He kicked Tae's butt playfully so he'd follow, lead them all to the kitchen and gesturing at it. "It stopped working... when was it, Tae? Like three days ago? One morning I was showering, it went cold and that's been it."
"Namjoon-hyung isn't allowed to touch them," Tae shared unnecessarily while Yoongi pulled a chair out so he could actually get to the boiler, using the flashlight on his phone to inspect it.
"I'm sure he's allowed to touch them to hand them to me." Maybe. Yoongi glanced at Namjoon, just in case. At least he was no longer wearing any casts.
"Yeah, I can!" Namjoon whined as he sat Jungkook on the counter and crouched down, ducking under the sink to get out the tool box that Jin gifted him. Then later asked for it back because he bashed himself in the face with a wrench. He never did give it back, he wasn't that incompetent. "Which do you need?"
"You're touching, Jin-hyung said no."
"Kookie, I'm just passing them to ... man, you two kids, what the hell? Support me! I'm your hyung. I can touch tools." Huffing, Namjoon looked at Yoongi. "You trust me, right?"
"...sure." Yoongi looked at Jungkook and Tae both watching him with wide and fearful eyes and then his boyfriend, also having a very expectant look on his face. But he liked him uninjured, so maybe he could strike a compromise.
He tried a smile and lifted one hand to show him a little heart with his fingers. "You can just hand me the whole box while I figure out what I'm doing."
"You're cute but I know your game." Letting Yoongi take the tools, Namjoon pouted and came over to Tae, rolling his eyes and prodding him with his foot. "I didn't get hurt, stop being so nervous. It's just tools."
"Last time you dropped." As in, dropped the whole heavy fucking thing on his foot. Jungkook remembered it well. "You drop and spill."
"Well... I didn't today." Namjoon crossed his arms and watched Yoongi. "All well?"
"Ya. Think it's something I can fix, needs some tightening..." Although in the long run, he really just needed a new boiler. However, Yoongi didn't want to think too much on that right now. He would have to discuss money and so many other things with Namjoon again eventually, but for now he could make sure they had hot water and heating.
And Tae figured that was a good time to start dancing again, hype moves and all, simply chanting Yoongi's name and stage name. His brother had the best boyfriend!
Jungkook clapped along with Tae, trying to match his very off beats and watching Yoongi do magic. He assumed it was magic. He was going to give them heat. Namjoon watched close by, frowning at the inside of his boiler and trying not to freak - oh yeah, this old thing had had it, big style. He didn't think it'd last much longer after this.
"M-hm. Santa might." Yoongi frowned and then smiled a pleased smile when the boiler started, turning around to nod at his young fans. Hell yeah, king of boilers right here. He smirked when he looked at Namjoon and waved him over, so he could put a hand on his shoulder and simply hop off the chair once he was close enough. He pulled him down for a kiss at long last, ignoring the 'ew' sound Tae felt necessary to make.
"Now you can have a hot shower. Think of me when you do, yeah?"
"I have bath time and Joonie-hyung washes my hair." Tae was very good at killing the mood, even without realising.
