"Well. First of all, calm down. He's just a guy! A guy with worldwide fame and lots of money and a huge fanbase..." Wait, that wasn't helping. "You already know he likes you. Just be yourself, maybe he's into it. I like you the way you are!" Besides, it wasn't as if they would take long. Already there was only one more in front of them and Tae helped Jimin up, holding his hand tightly as he focused on looking at Agust D, now that he could see him sitting there.
"Oh... He looks cool, Jiminie. Kookie, can you see?" Tae let go of Jiminie to try and lift Kookie up a little.
Kookie could see, his eyes went wide and he wriggled excitedly. "He's Agust D." Jungkook nodded and found his feet again, stumbling along after Tae and singing a little from So Far Away, singing the chorus as he hopped from foot to foot. It was so cute, the girls about to go up for a signing were looking at Kookie and not Yoongi.
Namjoon managed to calm down. They were next in lone, he could see him and he was freaking out but trying to be cool. It was okay. It'd be okay. He could just ... drink his coffee and be cool. He lifted his cup to his mouth, went to take a sip, missed and poured it all down himself... "Oh God." He slowly turned to Hobi. "I spilled."
"So far awaaaay." Kookie bounced a little more, his excited little body jigging up and down.
"...of course you did. Take your hoodie off, quick!" Hobi snapped into mom mode, trying to think of how he could even potentially salvage the situation. He got his own sweater off and held it out to Namjoon as soon as he'd managed to get his stained hoodie off. The shirt underneath was obviously also stained, he was just happy Namjoon wore dark pants. "Put my sweater on!"
He missed Yoongi looking over when people noticed the three boys who were hopping and singing. Which meant that, yes, Agust D was sitting there, waving at their three little ones. And then watching as Namjoon got tangled up in Hobi's sweater.
What a great moment.
While Hobi and Namjoon missed their cue for it being their turn. Tae certainly did not, eagerly moving forward and waving excitedly. "I'm TaeTae! Hello, hyung."
"Hi. I'm Yoongi-hyung." Yoongi looked at the two older ones with amusement, then focused on the kids, getting up so he could see over the table better. "You are Kookie, right?" He held a hand out to Jungkook, then looked at Jimin too. "And you're Jimin."
Namjoon swiftly yanked on Hobi's sweater, arm caught in the sleeve as he stumbled forward to try and keep up with his kids... and not fall over too. Oh shit, he made such a mess of himself and Hobi was snappy. He was going to fuck this up, wasn't he? God damn. Why couldn't he be cooler?
Kookie didn't wait for Namjoon either, he came over and held onto Yoongi's hand, shaking it very slowly and then continuing to hold it. He made it. The promised land. He was with Yoongi. This time, he didn't have to cry. "I'm Jeon Jungkook." He bowed a little and then yanked on the hand, pulling Yoongi forward a little as he tried to climb up, using his arm as leverage. Jimin, being a good friend, pushed Jungkook up by his butt so the boy could crawl up the table.
"Hello, Min Yoongi-hyung. I'm Jimin. We're gonna get married and Kookie can be the baby. Tae is the doggie."
He petted Tae's head and then started to haul himself up too. Luckily, Namjoon got his shit together and launched forward, hauling Jimin and Tae back - it was too late for Kookie. "Sorry, sorry, God. You guys! Don't climb on the table. What are you? Monkeys. Come on. Indoor behaviour, boys." Namjoon looked up and met Yoongi's eyes, blushing just a little. "Uh. Hi."
"I said hi first, he likes me more!" Jimin whined as he pulled against Namjoon.
Some of his handlers were moving in the back, but Yoongi gestured to them that it was all right. It wasn't as if they had been on high alert exactly, these were obviously children, not as if he was in any danger here. But he was worried about the kid on the table, so he lifted Jungkook up and put him on his lap again, which definitely met the approval of the crowd. "Nice to meet you, Jeon Jungkook."
He smiled at the kid and then looked at the other kid that was currently proposing to him. Huh. "...that's nice. I've been thinking about getting a dog."
Tae barked helpfully and then suddenly, Namjoon was pulling them back. Yoongi looked up and met Namjoon's eyes, smiling. "Hi."
He held his hand out, trying to think of something else that was clever to say. "Glad you made it."
"Are you glad I made it? I'm cuter. I don't spill. Do you like that?" Jimin asked before Namjoon could reply. Rolling his eyes, he put a hand over the boys mouth and ignored how Jimin whined.
"I dunno how glad I am. Or how glad you'll be soon. These kids are nuts." He let go of Jimin and then lifted up Tae so he could be properly in view, no tables in the way. Pulling his shirt aside a little, he gestured at Tae's sloppy replica of Yoongi's very cool shirt. "Limited edition, right? Doesn't my little Tae rock this look?"
Kookie reached up and played with Yoongi's shirt, just feeling it, touching the shiny graphic and then looking at his check shirt instead. More interesting. And then he started chewing on his button. The crowd might have awed but the clothing department was freaking out. Namjoon sighed. "Kookie, we don't chew people's clothes. What are you? A goat?"
Dropping it from his mouth, he nuzzled up against Yoongi instead. "Are you my hyung? For real?"
"Yeah, sure. I'm your hyung. I'm older, right?" Yoongi petted the kid's hair, not sure where to even focus on first. He nodded at Jimin, assuring him right away. "I'm very glad you made it. You must be one of the cutest fans I have. Right up there with Kookie and TaeTae."
Tae, who was currently apparently actually feeling shy, even if he'd promised himself he wouldn't. He wrapped his arms around Namjoon, hiding his face against him and then peeked back out at Yoongi, smiling a bit.
"Your shirt is very cool." Yoongi gave him a thumbs up and then looked at Namjoon. "You're gonna get a bag of stuff each when you leave. Merch and all. I already signed it this morning."
"You're a great man, hyung." Hobi bowed in thanks, smirking. Ten would love this.
"This is Hobi, he made the profile for me. I guess this is all because of him."
Namjoon smiled and raised his hand, stroking Tae's back gently and leaning forward to kiss his forehead, talking low while Yoongi was distracted by the other boys. "He thinks you're so cool. You can stay close to me, I got you. You're too cool for all these people anyway, all mine." With a dumb grin, he pulled a face at Tae.
Meanwhile, Jimin had crawled under the table and popped out the other side. He got on his knees, not knee, because he wasn't sure what he was doing - and then he pulled out the ring he had. Ten dollars. Very expensive.
"Will you marry me, Yoongi-hyung?"
There was an explosion of girls cheering and awing, Namjoon jumped out of his skin. "Wha-- Oh, Jiminie!" Namjoon burst into laughter and grinned at Yoongi. "I warned you, man. Don't say I didn't warn you."
Yoongi stared at the tiny child with wide eyes and an open mouth and his staff laughing really was not helping. He finally smiled, huffing out a laugh. "I was not ready for that question, Jiminie."
He ultimately pulled Jimin up so he was on his lap as well, smiling at him. "How about we try dating first, yeah? Then you can ask me, once you've caught up to my age a bit." What an adorable kid.
Hobi took a picture of their two kids sitting on their idol's lap, because he had a feeling they'd want that memory.
"Agust D!" Tae finally dared to speak, while holding Namjoon tightly. "Hyung! Your songs are really cool and sometimes sad but my brother says it's okay to cry and he cries a lot too and thank you for making music that's good for dancing and rapping and crying!"
Yoongi looked at Tae, rubbing the back of his neck. "You kids... You are too sweet."
"They really love you. Probably mine and Hobi's fault. We play you all the time. When we were studying for our exams, we just used to play your mix tape and lament our lack of sleep. Me and TaeTae listened to you everywhere. The bus, school, 7eleven." Namjoon moved in closer with Taehyung but he tried to keep a distance, not wanting to make it hard for Tae because he knew the other was a little nervous sometimes, especially around older males. It was a habit they'd both built up. "It's really good of you to take care of your little fans, yeah?"
Namjoon bowed in appreciation. Even if it was an act, he was being very sweet to them.
Jimin sat up a little, dared himself and swiftly, he kissed Yoongi's cheek. Giggling mischievously, he hopped off his lap before he could be told off. "We can date! Date no one else. Except Namjoon-hyung. He's lonely." Hurrying over to Hobi, he held out his arms, excited to tell him all about his new boyfriend.
Namjoon blushed. "What? I'm not!"
"Joonie needs to get laid." Jungkook had heard Hobi say it and yes, of course, this was the exact moment he decided to repeat it. Namjoon could have died right then and there. He huffed out a defeated laugh.
Hobi picked up Jimin, clearing his throat. Well, all right. It wasn't as if Jungkook was wrong. "Jungkook, come here, yeah? Think it's time for us to go, we are gonna get presents." Maybe that would make leaving Yoongi easier.
Yoongi got up so he could try and lift Jungkook over the table, wishing he had more time, but of course he didn't. "Thanks for coming. You'll have to come again some time."
He looked at Namjoon, really, really wishing they could meet under different circumstances. He hoped he could put some of that into his eyes. "I'm a bit lonely too."
"You can be Namjoon's bae," Tae informed Yoongi, "You are nice and cool and you don't hit."
"Tae, shh." He didn't want to get into that with Min Yoongi of all people. "He's very nice, yeah, but he's very busy and he has other people to be his bae. Like Jimin." Apparently. Jungkook reluctantly let go of Yoongi went prompted and went over to Hobi, holding onto him with a small sigh.
"I don't wanna go."
"It's fine, come on, we're getting in the way. Besides, we can afford hot chocolate for you guys on the bus home and you get presents. So lucky! Lucky boys!" Namjoon cheered them on, watching Hobi drag the two boys away. It was just him and Tae now. It was easier. Less stressful.
With a soft smile, he held out his hand. "Thank you for giving them the best experience. They're so happy. I owe you so much."
Yoongi reached for Namjoon's hand, threading their fingers together. Hey, he did that with the girls, there was no rule against doing it with the male fans too. He did wonder about Tae mentioning that he didn't hit, but it wasn't his place to ask and especially not when there were so many people all around. "You don't owe me. Just glad you know who I am."
Tae smiled mischievously. There, they were totally going to be baes, he could tell. "We will see you again after your tour, hyung!" Now it had to happen.
"We'd like that. Sorry about ... everything. This was great. Thank you so much. Honestly." Namjoon smiled a proper, dorky smile and then adjusted Tae in his arms and hugged his little brother closer. "Let's get outta the way, yeah. Time get some merch and then we can decorate your walls."
Smiling at Tae, he looked back at Yoongi and smiled, feeling such longing.
He wished he could just hang out with him, get coffee and talk like a normal date. But hell, he just made his kids day. He didn't care. This was great.
