"He doesn't eat. You hear that, Jimin. It's not nice. People don't think it's endearing, you just make them feel worried." Namjoon lectured as Jimin lowered his head and nodded, looking at Yoongi with a small smile.
"Come visit me again, please? Maybe we can eat together."
Namjoon huffed and then walked back from the door. "Hey, did you find a new job yet? Ask at the Gas Station, yeah?"
"Why don't you eat? You should eat." Yoongi frowned, then just shrugged. "I don't think I'm here during your dinner times, but we can talk about eating, maybe." Whatever. If it would keep a kid from starving himself, that didn't seem like the worst idea. Turning his head he looked at Namjoon.
"I swear, you're more concerned about my career than my mother is." It was strange. He supposed sometimes someone like Namjoon got strange obsessions. "I can't get any job that pays like this with hours these good." Well. Good for him.
"I don't like food." Jimin admitted with a small shrug. It made him unhappy for the most part. The last time he ate was when Jin made him eat that candy bar during the session cause he passed out but not eating was his control. It meant he had a say on what happened to him, no one else. "We can have rice balls." Those were his favourite.
Namjoon huffed out a laugh and shook his head. "Trust me, it's not a good trade off. Go work at the gas station, do nights. You get the day to be creative. Trust me. Do it."
Jimin frowned and then slowly, he realised. Oh. Namjoon did like him. "Aww, hyung! You have a friend."
"Can't afford studio time with what they pay me. This place isn't that bad." Not that he was eager to come here, but hey. He liked Namjoon, he got to listen to music, usually no one bothered him and today when Jimin had bothered him, that hadn't turned out so badly either. "Don't you wanna go to bed, Jimin? It's late."
"No, not really. I have bad dreams." Reaching up, he held onto Yoongi's arm and looked him in the eyes. "I hope you stay." He knew that Namjoon wanted him out but Jimin liked him, he had a lot of benefits and he was a cutie. Besides, when all went to shit, he could protect him. If Tae could protect Jungkook, he could protect Yoongi. He held his hand out to him and stole Yoongi's hand. "Walk me home?"
"Yeah. Sure." Yoongi shrugged his shoulders and let Jimin hold his hand, walking over the few feet to what was apparently Jimin's door. "I have a song to play you," he told Namjoon over his shoulder, then he used his card to open the door to Jimin's room. Usually he wouldn't be able to do that, someone must have messed up security settings again. He'd let them know.
"I will, hyung! Play your song loud, maybe I can hear it." Jimin looked like a sad puppy as the door closed and he stayed standing there, pressed against the door, watching him walk away with longing. He didn't want him to leave. Why did he get to be friends with Namjoon but he couldn't be friends with him? Sadness.
"Play the song then consider your job prospects. They pay well at the garbage collection places, good hours too." Namjoon sat with his back to Yoongi, just allowing him to be near him but not getting close. Seemed like a dumb idea.
"You're so eager to get rid of me. That's hurtful, you know?" Yoongi wasn't bothered, but he was curious why Namjoon wanted him to leave so badly. He started playing his song and picked the mop up again, so he'd also actually do the work he was paid to do and not just talk to patients, which he decidedly wasn't paid to do. "Come on. I'm the only janitor here with good taste in music, you need me around."
"Cause I don't want you in this dump. It sucks the life out of you. There was better paying jobs with better hours." Namjoon knew it was futile. Unless he told him why, he doubt he'd leave and if he told him, he'd report it so Namjoon's only option was trying to get rid of him. He listened to the rap end and the beat slowly keep on, nodding his head along and wishing he was able to do things like that. Create and make beautiful music. "I'd be bored without you but I would rather you weren't here."
