"Where is our Jungkookie? It's hard to imagine him as a little boy like this." Always trying to be so serious and usually just nervous around him, but Jin couldn't help but be endeared to him anyway. Or maybe because of that. "I've talked about it to Namjoon today, Jimin, you never told me just when and how Min Yoongi managed to win you over."
Honestly, that was impressive. Sure, people talked about the giant snake and the glowing sword, but this seemed like the more impressive feat in his opinion.
"We talked about the stars, that's why he's going to bring me one." Jimin was clearly not sharing much, he had his cards to his chest on this one. Maybe it was because he didn't know how he felt or maybe it was because he was afraid someone would ruin it but Jimin treated whatever he had with Yoongi like a precious secret that only the two of them had. He bounced Siwoo a little and then turned his head back, changing the subject. "Jungkook is with Taehyung. They're taking a walk. It's nice and sunny today so Jungkook is sweating a lot. It's kinda funny."
Jungkook seemed to really struggle to ditch his furs and leather... which made for a stupidly hot boy. Namjoon had tried to talk him out of it but he seemed weirdly attached. Whatever. "A warrior keeps his layers on, you never know what might happen... or so they say. I think it's stupid." But Kookie did his own thing. "Yoongi will set him right when he returns."
"Huh... I should open the pool for them." Jin frowned, turning his head to look at his husband. "Would he take off his layers to swim?" Here was hoping, because he didn't want Jungkook to faint. Jin assumed that a warrior fainting in the arms of his beloved wasn't the best either. "Can you swim, Namjoonie? I want to teach Siwoo anyway. The sooner he learns, the easier. And a lot of fun."
Jin smiled. This was a good idea and should pass the time until Yoongi would come. With a star, apparently. "I wonder how Ten is doing. I still worry."
"I think he can. Maybe we should cause if he faints, he will probably hate himself." And then have to go prove himself, which probably included bringing back severed heads. Not a good move. Not at all. "I can swim a little but I'm rusty. I used to go swimming with Yoongi a lot when we were boys. Siwoo should definitely learn."
Siwoo gurgled in approval and started to chew Jimin's sleeve, not that Jimin seemed to mind. He was too busy watching Tae and Jungkook in the distance, one looking pretty happy and the over sluggish and sweaty. What an idiot.
"I hope Ten is happy. Cause when he isn't, snakes bite me."
Jin bowed his head in thanks when tea was served to them at last, reaching for one of the rice cakes and immediately leaning forward so he could feed it to Siwoo. "That's your uncle's favourite. Do you ike it too, little darling?"
He watched his son with a smile on his face and then gestured to one of the servants. "Please open the pool and ask Taehyung-nim to go and test it, will you?"
"You're too good to Jungkookie." Namjoon teased playfully, watching as the servants left to save Jungkook from his misery. Namjoon did pause, however, watching Siwoo happily chewing on the ricecake and having a worrying thought. "Erm... In our culture, we swim naked so maybe someone gives Jungkook something to wear." He could already foresee his shameless boy stripping for Taehyung.
"Nother!" Siwoo asked as he made grabby hands and Jimin happily fed him the rest of his. He smiled at Jin, loving his tiny boy. "Hyung... maybe we should do something for Ten? Isn't he a God now or something? We could tribute him. We owe him as much."
"Oh... Well, sometimes we do that here too, but usually only in the hot springs." Jin frowned and was about to say something to another servant, but the man bowed already.
"I heard, my lord." And with that he ran off to protect Jungkook's modesty, whether he wanted to protect it or not.
Jin reached for his tea and took a sip, then he nodded at Jimin. "You are right. I suppose I was waiting for Yoongi in a way, but that isn't really necessary... Maybe we should build him a shrine among the other ones?"
"Might be nice... I miss him a lot." He knew that Ten wasn't dead but he kind of wasn't Ten any more and Jimin felt like he'd lost his friend. He and Jin had grown up with Ten and his family, it was so weird to not just be able to go and see him or visit their little country to have some fun. They had the best lake ever, he imagined it wasn't really around any more. "I guess we should put up something."
"Probably wise, Siwoo is one of his people." Namjoon reminded as he watched the pool slowly open out. Woah, it was so pretty. Namjoon wanted to strip off and jump in, nevermind Jungkook. "It might be disrespectful for Siwoo to be kept from praying to him."
"I miss him too, Jiminie. I know what you mean." Jin reached out to take his brother's hand for a moment, then he smiled at Siwoo. "You will get to worship whoever you want, Siwoo. I promise."
Which did remind him of something. He frowned and turned to Namjoon. "Did you want to put up a shrine or build a temple for any of your gods? I'm sorry, I should have considered this much sooner. I know so little about how you worship..." He suspected a lot of it would be about fighting and slaughtering and drinking and so on, but still.
"And Jimin, perhaps you and Taehyung could design Ten's shrine together. Or even a temple, if you wish. Something befitting our friend and now a God."
"I have a shrine in my old room where I worship, it's okay. I have all of the shrines up but my main God that I pray to is always prominent somewhere with me. I carry a part of him so he knows I love him and thank him." He gestured to the little stones hanging off an iron ring around the belt of his pants. Jimin looked very unimpressed - more rocks, of course. Why wouldn't it be more rocks?
"Is he the God of rocks and punches?"
"No... Love, actually." Well, depending how it was read and which translation was to be believed. Namjoon was like 100% sure he knew better than most. "He was once a stone guard who loved so much that which he guarded that he was honoured by the Gods for it. And now he is my countries main deity." They worshipped all of the others but he was their favourite. "He brings good fortune in love." And Namjoon was not complaining, look where he was.
"Oh, I see." Jin looked at the rocks on the iron ring and then nodded as he heard the story, his eyes on Namjoon. He did love when he told stories, his husband really was a poet. "That is such a romantic story. I see why he is your favourite."
Of course, his Namjoon was a romantic. He knew that by now. "I wonder often how much truth there is to the stories, you know? With what has been happening lately... Already I've heard three different versions of what happened with Ten and the snake, Cheon and Yoongi and all of that."
It was fascinating. "Jimin-ah, remember to be respectful. Namjoon's Gods are Min Yoongi's too."
"I wasn't being disrespectful... there's just a lot of punching and rocks in their culture is all." Jimin pouted a little as he cleaned Siwoo's face with a piece of cloth, cleaning the boy up nicely. "I'm sure they're beautiful, sweet Gods."
"Ehhh... there are three Gods of combat so you're not far wrong on the punching but Jackson is different. I pray to him." Even if his was a sad story. He knew a bit about Jackson, the lying thief who used him and their troubled love. Though, as Jin said, was it even true? "It's weird, isn't it? I wonder how the final version of the story is decided. It must be -- oh. Oh no."
He turned his head as he watched a very naked Jungkook, who seemed to totally ignore the swimsuit offer, leap into the pool and canon ball. Well. The water would cover up the worst of it. Hopefully. Siwoo giggled and clapped. "Butt!"
"Maybe Ten can give us some insight, if we ever see him again. Learn the truth behind legends." That thought... Jin still couldn't quite comprehend it. Gods were real, they walked among them and one of them was his childhood friend. It was a strange thing to wrap his mind around and...
Oh. "Butt indeed. I guess we will swim naked today, huh?" Why not? "We should respect your culture too."
"Well, it feels nicer." Namjoon agreed as Jimin passed Siwoo back to Jin and ran over to play with Tae and Jungkook, way too eager to get involved. He did love playing in water. As the boy disappeared, Namjoon laughed and kissed Jin. And then Siwoo. He loved both of his boys. "I love you. I'm so happy I have you. And I will forever pray to Jackson and thank him for helping our paths cross. I owe him."

Maybe he could keep Jungkook from swooning.
