"Yeah, go, I'll see him at the ceremony. His disappointment awaits." Namjoon smiled despite everything, he didn't feel like a noble man or even a good man. Just a man taking advantage of someone clearly desperate and afraid. Jin didn't want him and he didn't blame him, why would he want him? He pulled a parchment from inside his robes out and unfolded it, reading it over.
Was it dumb to read a poem to Jin? Would he like it? Every time he tried to be sweet, he scared him more. "I will do my best in the ceremony, I want to make him happy. If I can. I know I may ruin it but I can only try."
"I believe he will appreciate you, once he actually knows you, Namjoon-nim. I really do. I'm sorry he can't see it yet." Not that he entirely blamed him there, by all accounts the fault was mostly with Namjoon's amazingly bad luck. Tae looked around to realise that Yoongi had already gone. When had that happened?
"...sometimes it's annoying when he does that." Just being silent all over the place. He was just saying.
"He's silent but he knows how to make himself known if he wants to." He was always impressed by Yoongi, he was so much cooler than he was. Maybe he could have handled this better than he could. He slipped his poem away and sighed, leaning on the banister and trying to calm his nerves. "Tell me what to do. What not to do. Just ... make sure I don't fuck up, please? I keep doing that."
From smashing tea cups to offending the elders and one unfortunate laugh during a dance that had been put on for them... it was kind of funny!
"I suggest you don't laugh or smash anything." Seemed pretty basic, but by now Tae knew Namjoon a little too well to take that for granted. "What you have to do is walk down the aisle. Yoongi could walk with you, that would be your decision."
He strongly hoped that he would decide to walk with Yoongi. "There will be talk about what this union symbolises, a lot of praying to the Gods to bless it and then you have to hold your hands above the eternal flame. Make sure not to get too close. You have to hold Jin's hand and look at him. It's supposed to be a test of sorts, symbolic, any impurity would be burned off, anyone not sincere would not be able to withstand the pain, that sort of thing. But don't worry, the flame isn't that hot. Then you say your vows."
"Oh good, fire. That'll end well. I guess I've come this far, I can do this without fucking up. I owe him one thing without a fuck up, it should be the wedding."
He smiled at Tae and nodded in thanks. "I will go scare my men into behaving. I'll be there on time with Yoongi to complete our ceremony." He could at least not fuck up as long as Yoongi was there.
