"Oh no, what a delicate boy." Ten had to laugh, it was pretty funny. These two used to laugh about how soft his feet were when he whined while running through the beach and around broken shells. Didn't seem so wussy now. He was bare feet today because he was too lazy to find his sandals. After all, he had hyung to see.
Smiling excitedly, he shuffled forward on his butt. "Really? Woah! Did you kiss him? Is he that pretty? What's a scholar?"
"A scholar is someone who watches and learns. He can read and write. He is here to get to know more about the world." It was interesting, meeting Gyungho, learning his profession, his life. "I didn't kiss him. I was prophet the whole time."
Which, yes, technically he was always prophet, but there was a difference to him in full ceremonial garb and him right now, just sitting around with his friend. If he was properly dressed as prophet, not even Ten would talk to him so casually. "But he is really pretty. He looks like a statue. Like a perfect man."
"That's so hot. There's no hot man like that in this village. You and Sangwoo are stealing all the hot ones. Maybe I'll seduce a man of my own." He liked the idea of dating an outsider. He wanted to experience what that's like and maybe get his own whirlwind romance. Maybe one or two sparkly jewels wouldn't hurt... if he wore them subtly and not in the sight of Minjun.
"You should kiss him, he sounds like you're type. All weird and nerdy." Totally Minjun's type.
"I'm the prophet, Ten. Technically, I don't think I'm supposed to kiss anyone." Minjun sighed and then, defiantly, immediately leaned in to kiss Ten's cheek. Cute Ten. Always up to some mischief. "Anyway, I think we need to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Some of them might be cute, but the leader is only after jewels. His eyes are those of a cruel man."
With a sigh, Minjun ran his fingers through his hair. "I'll wear black feathers tomorrow. Our people will know that means caution."
"We'll be careful and heed your cautions, you know we will. I'll be careful too." Careful but not too careful. Ten was always up to mischief, always seducing or playing tricks. He drove his village mad with his games and pranks. He was their little devil prince, he couldn't help it. "We'll all stay armed and protect our treasures. No one wants war, hyung."
Especially not him, he really didn't like fighting. "We'll be okay if we all stick together."
"I hope so. I don't know. All I know is that a storm is coming, but the Gods haven't given me any guidance. What good are they, anyway." Minjun rolled his eyes, hoping the Gods would step it up when he criticised them enough. "I asked Sangwoo to come tomorrow, maybe he will bring Tae. No one can attack us when we have Tae right there."
"Yeah but that stuff is a bit much for my little baby, I don't want him to be sad or stressed. We all know TaeTae is my little darling." Even though he and Tae were the same age, Ten babied him like crazy. He just did. Sometimes he felt older than others because he hung with Minjun and Sangwoo - it made him feel that much older.
"We'll keep everyone say and pray to the Gods. They will help, trust me. They always do." Ten was more religious than Minjun, he believed they'd help.
"They are supposed to show me the way we can be helped..." Yet here he was, still clueless. He sighed and shook his head, smiling. "You are right, things will work out. They will help."
He would think of something, at any rate. "Do you want to help me dye my hair black?" Fun times. "It's a shame, I like red."
"Black is cool too. Come on, let's get it all dyed up ready for the big meeting. I imagine it's going to be boring but hey, at least we'll look hot." They always did. Playfully, Ten came over and helped out his hyung, already unpacking what Minjun had out and bouncing a little. This was going to be fun.
"You're gonna look sexy and seduce your smart nerd boy. I just know it."
