"What? By the bathroom? Usually working on the floor." Sangwoo was a bit confused cause he was walking him to the bathroom and all, he didn't think he'd be asked for his life outside this place. Especially since this guy was way above him in every way. He took a moment to look at Yejoon and then realised the awkward guy was actually asking that. Him, outside of here. Not great. "I work, I live alone. Probably looks like a dump compared to wherever you live, eh?"
He was a fancy boy. He smiled, just to show he was teasing. "You?"
"I work. I live with my family. Still right across the hallway from my mother." Of course, they had a big house, but it was built in the old style, the walls weren't thick and he didn't exactly have much privacy. Not that he really needed it most of the time, but right now... How did people even secretly meet someone at a hotel? He really should have done research on that. "I'm sure my place looks better than yours, but being alone has some upsides. Right?"
"Oh yeah, I walk around naked." Sangwoo grinned because, well, that was the ultimate plus. "Though it does mean I gotta pay stupidly high rents." Especially for the place he lived. It was technically cheaper but his mark made the landlord up it with a security deposit in case he trashed it. He was always paying out more than he should. "Though I'm sure you don't wanna imagine me strolling around naked."
Or maybe he does. "I'm sure soon enough, you'll have a place of your own."
"No, I can't move out. It's not done." Yejoon shrugged his shoulders, not finding it in himself to care too much about that right now. Mainly because he was hung up on that mental image of a naked Sangwoo strolling down this hallway. Which was a ridiculous thought to have, but it wasn't as if he could imagine the man's place, so here it was. And his face heated. "I bet you look good naked."
"Oh yeah. I work out so... it's probably my best asset." Why lie? He smirked playfully and then moved in closer, unable to ignore that his soulmate was making him feel like this. Like he wanted to be so close that he could just touch him everywhere and never leave him. It was weird. "You flirting with me, Yejoon-nim? A fancy boy like you, hitting on the help. Bet that's not done either."
Smirking, he leaned in and spoke quietly, almost whispering in his ear. "I bet you'd look good naked too."
"You don't have to say 'nim'." Obviously he had to, but. "No one can hear us here." That was one thing. It wasn't as if he couldn't ever do things that weren't done, it was just difficult to even consider how he would move out. Not the sort of thing he could do covertly. But this, he felt as if he was getting the hang of it.
At least until Sangwoo whispered into his ear and he forgot to breathe for a second, then coughed. Damn it, he had been so smooth, now it was all ruined. "...I do cardio."
He tried a smile, hoping it would look suave. "We could meet somewhere else." Not that he knew where.
"We could. You sure you wanna? I don't wanna cause you any scandals, fancy boy." He was so cute. He made his heart hurt and all he wanted was him but he'd never want to screw him over. He felt like he should tell him now who he was so he didn't cause any issues. He just didn't want to ruin what he had. "I'm free after 10."
He wasn't against meeting him, in fact he was really eager too. If he had this chance, he'd take it. "You think you can slip away for after that?"
"I'm not that fancy." Well. He was, he supposed, but it sounded a bit like mockery and that made him be defensive. He hated it, he hated anything that could put a wall up between them, because he didn't feel there should be one. His heart hurt and he wasn't sure why. He wasn't sure about anything.
"After 10. Yes, I can do that." How? He wasn't sure yet. "We can meet... Somewhere." He really wasn't sure. "A hotel?"
"I haven't got a lot of cash on me so it'd have to be a love hotel unless you're springing for something better. I know a place about a fifteen walk from here - it's nice, cheap and we'll have fun. Promise." And they didn't check ID status so he wouldn't have to show his mark and maybe get kicked out and embarrassed in front of his new bae. Maybe. He was an optimist. Sometimes life had to be good to him.
"Don't be upset being fancy, I like it." Sangwoo smiled at him, playful and flirty. "It ain't a bad thing, is it? To be fancy. Just means you got standards."
"I will pay for it. My friends have told me about hotels like that, very discreet. We can drive there, I will pick you up." Hey, that was what he had the car for. Well. Not really, but if he could impress Sangwoo with it, he would certainly try to. Hie felt himself blushing again and then he felt a sense of daring, something surging through his heart.
He moved even closer and he pressed his lips against Sangwoo's, his eyes closing. Just for a moment. Then he pulled away again and his lips felt as if they were on fire, but in a good way. What was this? "My standard is you."
Damn. Fancy boy was bolder than he expected. Finally, he was going to get laid. He supposed fucking his soulmate was as good as it got for someone like him. He'd take it, happily. With a smile, he reached out and stroked Yejoon's hair gently. "I'll be waiting at 10. Now you better take a leak before your guests think you're doing somewhere weird, yeah?"
Sangwoo laughed playfully and pointed out the toilet. "You needed to go, remember."
"I didn't. I just wanted to--" Huh. "Wait. No. Now I have to go." He hated his body. Yejoon turned away before his embarrassment could get the better of him. He walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him, his heart still beating too fast.
Sangwoo headed back out, checked on his tables, took some plates away and finally, he caught Minjun again. "So my soulmate wants to go to a hotel after this. Ten pm. I think we're gonna fuck." Interesting. He did not see that one coming. "He's bolder than I expected, he kissed me." He wondered if he'd have done it if he knew about the black mark under his name.
"Huh." How was Sangwoo getting with his soulmate before him? That was not fair and made no sense. Minjun would be more upset if he wasn't so intrigued. "Lucky you." He supposed. He frowned, unsure what to suggest here. "Seems like he knows what he wants."
Evidently. "Do you think he does that a lot? Get laid with the staff?"
"Dunno. If he does, I'm impressed. He's not the best at flirting. Also he's kinda... all over the place. A bit -- not ditzy but that kind of energy." He was an odd one, Sangwoo was already endeared. "Defensive and uncertain but maybe that's his charm. You know guys can pull with any charm these days." It didn't take much when you were gay and horny, general someone was into it.
"Just wondering if I should tell him before we do it. He's not gonna like, you know, accuse me of rape later or something, right?" He'd heard horror stories about that kind of thing before. "I could do without jail time."
"I don't know, Sang-ah. I still haven't figured out what to do about my soulmate, now you want me to tell you what to do with yours?" What did he know? Minjun wished he had an easy answer. "It's a risk no matter what. Good boy from a good family, odds are he'd want to enlist." It was the honourable duty, after all.
Although Minjun imagined that his family wouldn't exactly be thrilled about that either.
"So I'd fuck up his life if I screwed it up. Great." Sangwoo hated this. He looked at Minjun and sighed. "I dunno what to do but I'll meet him, talk to him and see what happens. I'm gonna be as honest as I can be. And as gentle too." Or his fancy boy might just straight up run away from him. "I know you don't like enlistment but what are we even gonna do? Once we find our soulmates, we kind of have to."
What was Minjun's plan? Surely he had one longterm.
"I had an idea about enlisting, but I don't want to do that to Gyungho, now that I've met him. I'm going solo." And, no, he hadn't entirely figured out that plan yet, but he had some ideas. So many ways to start the fire. And, yes, likely end up dead, executed or otherwise. "All we have to do is fight. And I'm ready to fight. I'm just waiting for the right target."
"Reassuring. You know, the world ain't so bad. Only a few of us get screwed. Like think about the numbers? It's okay, Minjun, if you don't save everyone." He just wished Minjun would listen but he knew there was no chance he would. With a small smile, he reached out and ruffled Minjun's hair. "But if you gotta, I'll come with. Now take those steaks to your table, we're getting glared at."
He slid the plates to Minjun before grabbing the stuff for Yejoon's table. "Being a waiter sucks but the money is awesome."
