Minjun moved over to rest his head on Sangwoo's shoulder. He closed his eyes and thought about the picture Gyungho had drawn, the picture that was supposed to be him. That kind of man wouldn't ever hesitate from his conviction. Dangerous, wild, all of that. He wished he didn't know about the voice inside him that wanted to just let it be, the way Sangwoo was saying. He knew now that whatever he'd have to do, he'd have to do it alone. Of course he felt some hesitation, because he wasn't just that drawing.
But it was what he aspired to. What he thought was needed. "I'll find you in the next life too, Sang-ah."
"You're such a dumbass." He supposed there was no going back. He just needed to find a way to help him. He had some magic, he could use it. "I'll fight alongside you, magic or no magic. I don't care." He didn't think he had a soulmate and if he did, he doubted they ever wanted to meet him. The way he was? Anyone could do way, way better.
"You won't die without me, you selfish jerk." He wouldn't let it happen. "Just tell me when and where, I'll be there."
"I will. I have to think still. Make plans. It was a lot easier when I didn't daydream about him constantly." Minjun shook his head. Maybe seeking out Gyungho had been a mistake for them both, but the power he had unlocked? He couldn't deny that would come in very handy. "I almost hope it happens to you too, just so you can stop rolling your eyes at me. Wonder what your soulmate would be like. Are you certain you haven't had dreams?"
"Not really... I mean, yeah, I have wet dreams about hot boys but like, it's not my soulmate or anything. I don't think I have one and if I do, I bet he'd want to avoid me." Just saying. No one wanted to get stuck with him, he was bad for everyone. "Only you're dumb enough to hang out with me, you fucking idiot. I never got why you did."
But he'd never cared. He didn't know why, he just never did. "You're crazy, Jun-ah. I bet your soulmate is too."
