Yoongi smirked before he could stop himself. He lowered his head to hide it, but it was of little use. Damn it. Namjoon was just such a unique mess that he caught him off-guard sometimes. It wasn't as if he normally ever struggled to keep a poker face. "Thanks for the offer, but I already showered while you were still asleep. It's ten, so..."
A whole lot of morning had passed. "That's why I smell so fresh."
"Oh yeah..." Well, didn't he feel gross. "I'm gonna go shower. Do you want to come with? I guess you can come into my room if you want." He hadn't let Yoongi into his room yet. When they first started this, he told Yoongi to always wait outside but he assumed that Yoongi would have quit by now. And yet.
"You don't have to but lurking in the hallway is kind of weird." Or it was to Namjoon, who was not used to being kept out of any room. Nowhere was off limits... except his father's office, of course.
"That's fine. Lurking in the hallway is kind of part of my job description." Well, there was no denying that. However, he could appreciate the gesture, so he nodded his head anyway. "I can wait in your room. I won't touch anything."
He was mildly curious how someone like Namjoon would live. It was hard to imagine, because he was such a fascinating and often contradictory person.
Heading upstairs, Namjoon cleared his throat and looked back at Yoongi. "So, uh, just so you're not surprised, just a little disclaimer." Because many people who entered his room tended to be exceptionally thrown off by what was in his room. And the excess of it. "I really like Ryan. You know. Ryan the lion from Kakao talk?"
Namjoon stopped in front of his door and unlocked it. His dad used to snoop around so he had the habit of locking it these days. "Just so you know." He opened the door and let Yoongi behold his room.
"...wow." What the hell. How was this thing a lion? Looked like a bear. But more importantly, just... "How do you even sleep?"
How was there enough space? There was Ryan everywhere. Yoongi's eyes were wide as he looked around. "Damn. How many do you have?"
What even. "I mean, I like Kumamon." Which was obviously also a slightly strange admission for a badass bodyguard to make, but it all seemed to fade in comparison to this.
"I, uh, I sleep beside Ryan?" Why was that hard to understand? Namjoon smiled and then crawled onto his bed and among the sea of plushed toys, rolling onto his back so Yoongi could see it. Yeah, he was on the edge of the bed but he fit on it? So there. He hugged Ryan close. The biggest Ryan. That was over half his height and stole most of his bed. The little ones lay around him like his tiny army. "He lost his mane. I don't know I like him so much. I used to hate anything all cute and sweet but then I found Ryan."
And thus an obsession was born. Namjoon's room was mostly Ryan. Ryan rug, Ryan bedding, plushes, dressing gown, lamps, toys - honestly, too much stuff.
The second thing overwhelming his room was books. Namjoon turned to look at his other Ryan plushies, petting some of their heads. "I'll hug you guys later."
The books really didn't seem noteworthy by comparison, so Yoongi barely even thought about those. Namjoon was supposed to be a bit of a genius, he expected books. Did he expect all of this? He huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. "I thought you'd just have a sex sling or something."
Certainly seemed as if it would be more in line with the persona that Namjoon had mostly shown him so far, fucking around with so many guys. "You always surprise me. Most people never do."
"Sex swing? In here? ... In front of Ryan? God, no. No boys never come in my room. Ever. I've never even had sex here." Clearly this was a special place where no one would do anything dirty because Ryan was always watching. Hell, he didn't even realise it at the time but Yoongi was the first boy he'd ever really had in his room. "I've never even let Hobi in here. I guess you're the first. Huh."
Weird. Well. Whatever. Namjoon got up and walked over to his wardrobe, collecting his clothes. "I'm glad I'm not boring at least! Soohyun always used to say I was stupidly boring."
"That's because Soohyun is an idiot. Close-minded. Those people get bored fast, because they don't have anything on their mind. Just give him something to play with and have an actual fun time by yourself." Seemed more worthwhile. Handsome dumbasses were a dime a dozen after all. "Hobi is different. You'd be better off with him."
Out of the boys he'd met, Hobi was the only one he thought was at least on Namjoon's wavelength. Granted, there wasn't much competition.
"I know but dumb people are so easy to use and one day I'm going to be important and busy, it's nice to know I'll be surrounded by guys I've fucked who'll do stuff for me." Or, at least, that's how he felt. He balled up the clothes he was taking in with him and smiled at Yoongi before walking towards the bathroom. "I remember a time when those types of guys said all kinds of shit about me. Then they realised I was important. Suddenly I wasn't just an ugly, weird nerd any more."
It was different with Hobi. They were more friends than anything - the fucking was just something they did, like how some people played tennis or watched movies. "See you in a few, hyung. Take care of Ryan for me." Namjoon disappeared into the bathroom and like that, Yoongi was alone.

With about a hundred Ryans.
